That is a MAYBE still, if it was 100% coming, they would have officially announced it by now
Which part of " but it is definitely in our plans" cant you understand? Which part of "that is not an official confirmation" don't you understand? So what do you need for it to be official other than bethesta saying so?. This started with you saying that bethesta said that ps3 version wont be happening because bla bla bla stuff that you made up. Drop it, acknowledge it when you're wrong. I already rebuttled all your statements. I enjoy reading magazines and not rampant fanboyism websites. Sorry if that is not good enough, and I am sorry the director of Oblivion admits that there are complications with regard to PSN. I am sorry your poor little cow soul cant accept this. And I am sure as heck not about to go scanning all these articles for you. Sorry, wish I could. So go back to your little psu, qz, opms and keep believing all the garbage they spew. LOL it's an INTERVIEW. (it's somewhere in video format too) with bethesta. I'm not a cow btw, i own a 360 but not a ps3 (yet), and i dare you to find a thread where i'm bashing the 360 in any form. I just find so idiotic some of the stuff posted here that i cannot stay quiet. I understand, but clearly they said theyd like it out within the year. I was meerly mocking the fact that once again sony fanboys are getting screwed. Obviously, Bethesda wants it out cuz its more money in their pocket, but I fail to understand why you dont understand that there is a hitch prolonging the process.[QUOTE="ZeLeam"][QUOTE="Dr_DudeMan"][QUOTE="Dr_DudeMan"][QUOTE="ZeLeam"][QUOTE="Dr_DudeMan"][QUOTE="ZeLeam"][QUOTE="tricyclon123"]By wait longer you may mean wait forever. GI: You said that the Shivering Isles will bring some new lore to the already rich Elder Scrolls world. If this new expansion is successful, will there be more or will it be time to work on a follow up? Howard: Right now, we have no plans to do another big expansion. It’s a pretty big undertaking. Most of our staff is on Fallout 3 now, so that’s where we want our focus to be. Other downloads? We have some other ones kind of in the works or in the plans, but sometimes those fall by the wayside depending on how much we like them. At the end of the day, we plan to continue to support Oblivion. Should you expect another big expansion? At this point I’d say it’s very doubtful. This is from 2/14, and clearly, fallout 3 seems to be a priority, and clearly, they do not want to put much more time into Oblivion. So whether the hitch is on Sony's end as Howard said in another article (which could just be PR so that Sony users buy it) or on Bethesda's end because their resources are being designated towards other projects doesnt matter at this point because there are suggestions that Shivering Isles may not come over to the ps3, or the ps3 will receive it a very long time from now, in which case who cares because it will already be a 2+ year old game.[QUOTE="ZeLeam"][QUOTE="Dr_DudeMan"][QUOTE="Dr_DudeMan"][QUOTE="ZeLeam"][QUOTE="Dr_DudeMan"][QUOTE="ZeLeam"][QUOTE="tricyclon123"]By wait longer you may mean wait forever. Because you guys are failing to read this...HE IS A PR, PR's SAY THINGS TO SELL THEIR PRODUCT OR THEY LOSE THEIR JOB. He has to make the two versions seem equal. All the REAL developers are saying that this may be their last big oblivion project.[QUOTE="Nedemis"][QUOTE="Nedemis"]

PS3 - No AA. no proper HDR, washed out colors, no Shivering Isles = 10 times worst than 360 version
If you think those screen shots have jaggies, you need to lay off the drugs, cause you are being stupid. Those screen shots look just as good as the 360 ones do by comparison. If anything the background textures look sharper on the PS3 version and arent pixely at all.DSgamer64Look at the second pic man, Gees, it looks horrible! No edge is smooth!
My god, threads like theses seriously make me sick!
No un doctored image on any web site is not going to have jaggies! Stop judging what the freaking games looks like off the jaggies in a screen shot!
Its pure ignorance :evil:
[QUOTE="Ericvon71"][QUOTE="tango90101"]i tried telling the cows that the ps3 just isn't what it's hyped to be...
now with the proof rolling in, the ps3 just doesn't seem like a very good idea....:(

U need to stop hanging out with the guy who started this post!
and U need to look at the jaggies coming from a $600 toy claiming to be more powerful than the competition while delivering less graphics...;)
You've been saying that so long, I'd think you actually believe you're self
http://news.cnet.com/2061-10791_3-6160790.html
how massively underutilized the ps3 is at the moment......... But i am sure the new RAPIDMIND SDK would change things for sure.
IBM themselves have termed the CELL as a minimum of 10x as powerful as the most powerful pc processor in the market.
the claim has now been backed by MIT which says ps3 is a minimum 16x more powerful than any duel-core processor in the market (note without optimizers)

with proper optimizers i guess ps3 is atleast 100x as powerful as XENON.............i am looking forward to MIT and RAPIDMIND for a performance boost of the most poerful supercomputer of the late nineties

If all the sites that played the PS3 Oblivion say it looks better than the 360 version then how are some of you, who haven't played the PS3 version saying otherwise?Perception1
Pics ? Subjective opinions are BELOW pics, and BELOW the developers saying they are ...same, simple as that
All I know is that when I get a PS3 this summer, I am definately getting Oblivion for it (since I am too poor to buy a PC that could play it as well as the PS3 does). Its nice to know that Shivering Isles is coming out on the PS3 as well, thats a real plus. Right now I think so far this year the PS3 lineup looks like it will warrant my purchase with games like Motorstorm, Oblivion, MGS4, GTA4, Devil May Cry, Gran Turismo HD (whenever they decide to release it), Battlefield, Armored Core 4, Enchanted Arms, FEAR, Rainbow 6: Vegas and FF13 so thats 12 games coming out, 7 of which are in March of this year that I really want to play plus Resistance and Blazing Angels are already out. At least I will be waiting to get a few games at once when I buy the system come May or June. UT3 is also expected sometime this year for the PS3 and I am a huge UT fan so I will get it as well for the PS3.DSgamer64
MGS4 = 2008
FF13 = late 2008 or 2009
Oblivion = better on 360 (AA, HDR, colors, DL content)
Enchanted Arms on 360 as well
DMC4 most probably in 2008

DMC4 is coming this fall, i saw a thread about it but its gone now, it had a lnik and ill try find it. I dont kno what AA and HDR mean, but the colours in ps3 one is better. 360 version looks all bleachy and bright, the ground looks lke crap too. Everyone who can see knows ps3 one looks better, it had an extra year and thats the reason. You cant deny that ps3 version has slightly better graphics and half the load times. Not everything wil lgo to 360 in patches and Ps3 will get DL content when they figure out how to use the PSN.

DMC4 may come this fall, but how official is it really ? AA means no jaggies, HDR means that sun light makes bright spots in forests, and the game does not look flat, as for why 360 looks bright, it is time of day, try later than that, it is perfect and millions times better than PS3 flat coloring and lighting
I admit far textures look great on PS3, but will be fixed on 3600 too, and i give it better loading times, but that is all it has more, in every other way is a downgrade, and no Shivering Isles, means i would never ever buy PS3 version
Crusader armour... I gotta get my hands on that crusader armour... that dope looks awesome.TemplaerDudeThat armor is lame.....trust me. It is weaker than daedric armor, and the enchantments are completly stupid. Now the makers of Morrowind know how to put stats on armor.
I don't see an jagged polygons, maybe you should try the screenshot in fullscreen :), downscaling a big image creates "jaggies" just like upscaling a smaller image creates pixelation.
wow....such beautiful jaggies.....behold, the power of the Cell and RSX :lol:

Right-Click>view Image.. Zoom, there, no "jaggies"plancyThere is definitely no AA. The jaggies are indeed visible when viewed in full screen...

Let's pretned for a moment that AA is not that important (which it is, those armors look like crap with no AA), what about the bad HDR ?? the colors are not vibrand but washed out, and there is no glow anymore from the sun, another next gen effect is gone in PS3 version, that is the biggest flaw IMO
