I'm stoked, I think Insomniac will do a great job, and i'm not at all that much interested in Spider-Man as a super hero character but I'd be down to play this game.

The level of butthurt and saltiness is on another level. I don't think I've ever seen an exclusive cause this much butthurt.

Tons of meltdowns on Twitter and Youtube from salty fanboys, it's ridiculous. Who knew Spiderman would cause this much butthurt. Since it was revealed in 2016, all we've heard from the salty butthurt fanboys was that it was a movie QTE fest. As soon as the game gets shown in Game Informer and receives a release date the tears start to flow. Did these clowns think this game was gonna be trash or never get released? Insomniac are one of the best AAA devs in the industry, there shouldn't have been any doubt they would deliver. I'm just baffled why the butthurt has reached critical mass only now after more than a year of relative calm.

Sony owns the Spiderman movie IP rights, they paid good money to Marvel for it and also paid Insomniac to create the game so it's theirs.

As for TR, it was never Microsoft's. The game was revealed as a multiplat and MS only paid SE money to keep it as a timed-exclusive. The comparison doesn't check out.

I understand people angry that their beloved IPs are exclusive to one platform but it's an apple to oranges comparison.

Im a huge Spiderman fan and to see they are actually making a good game is awesome. This, GoW and RDR2 are my most anticipated games this year.

I think it's uncool when people skip out on the obvious machine that will have the games everyone wants and then bitch about it. It didn't exactly take a crystal ball to figure out PS4 would be the defacto primary console this gen. It was no secret. So, if people want to put a brand label ahead of their games, I say "Play silly games, win silly prizes." Exclusives are great. Rather than having a small army of programmers trying to make a game run on toaster ovens and tablets, you get a game made from front to end for one game machine and to take the most advantage of that.

On a serious note I don't really give a crap about Spiderman. I lost interest in him and most Western comicbook characters aside from some DC and Spawn. The movies don't really entertain me either. I'm more of a weeb these days so games like the new Yakuza style Fist Of The North Star game and Gungrave G.O.R.E are much bigger motivators to make me get a PS4 if they don't come to PC.

when did i call myself masterrace? i just said it wasn't cool to limit popular ips to one machine. and i never came to "down play and dismiss". i knew this game was gonna be good. and sony and nintendo definitely aren't the only good publishers out there. and this game isn't going to raise the bar for super hero games even though it's gonna be really good(batman arkham games did that). and i'm pretty sure sony shouldn't be praised for making a game exclusive, insomniac should be praised for making a good game

i didn't "skip out" on the ps4, i never even considered buying it, i've been gaming on a pc and i'm not going to change that for one game, plus even if i did, then i'd miss all the great pc exclusives and xbone exclusives.

any way it doesn't matter, i'll be able to emulate the game sometime down the road, then it'll just bea lost sale for sony

Where does @commander get the idea there's no stealth? Gameinformer talked about how they tried to play stealthily but screwed up early and all the enemies started coming after them.

Insomniac said stealth is a viable option during most encounters.

Cool then play Crackdown 3 and shut up. Should be just as good since Batman raised the standards and sony has nothing to do with the quality, Problem solved.

10/10 hype for me honestly, will buy along with Last of us 2 and God of war

Crackdown isnt Spiderman, like me making a bet in whos music gets streamed more Taylor swift or Tool. What i can say is that play anywhere for crackdown 3 will be great for multiplayer and co-op.

Finally, I dont like Spiderman so i def. Would not get a pS4 pro for it. If Sony released Socom 5, Twisted metal, Motorstorm, Resistance, Warhawk then id have a Ps4 system day 1. Last Spiderman game i played was on super nintendo. I prefer darker characters like Spawn.

My one criticism of this game is, its New York again. I know this is Spider Man, and I know New York is the perfect place for him to swing, but I've done it already. It's kind of hard to get excited about that setting again. I hope there are lots of places to visit inside at least.

One thing. They really make it look like NY this time.. (I live in NY) and the Grand Central Station looks really nice and real!
