To me Final Fantasy XII felt alittle bit like a let down (still AAA, but not as amazing as the other Final Fantasy). Also 13 is an unlucky number :P

II and V are recognized as weak links in the series. XII has it's fair share of detractors (I thought it was OK. Not great. Not terrible. OK).

I said it was a let down, not bad. But it might be a sign of Final Fantasy weakening. Also to me I found Tales of Symphonia to be a better RPG than FFX

Don't get me wrong, I'm going to play SO4 and love it (it's a great series) but quite frankly, it just doesn't stack up against FFXIII. You should be comparing SO4 to something like... the only rpg's ive ever really liked were pokemon (is that even rpg :P?), diablo and tales of symphonia. the others ive found ok but i just couldnt get into them... especially turned base so im surprised i liked pokemon but i guess its the fact that there were so many of them to choose from. i had star ocean till the end of time and i just didnt like it that much. maybe a little but i sold it after i played like 15 hours.bionicle_lover

How so? SO3 is one of my top 5 of all time, SO2 was a fantastic game, I haven't played SO1 because I don't have a super famicon, but, 2 and 3 were brilliant, I don't see how that's "digging your own grave."

JRPGs without the name Final Fanstasy, Dragon Quest and Star Ocean don't really sell that well.

Suikoden 3 sold around 378,000 copies in Japan and 190,000 in the US. Guess the PS2 owners don't apperciate the JRPGS they are getting
