How so? SO3 is one of my top 5 of all time, SO2 was a fantastic game, I haven't played SO1 because I don't have a super famicon, but, 2 and 3 were brilliant, I don't see how that's "digging your own grave."

SO3 was downright horrible, with the worst story plot-twist in the history of gaming. Tri-Ace also ruined the Valkrie series last gen... really, if they couldn't work the PS2 gen, what makes you think they will this time.

SO2 was OK, but couldn't stack up against the big shots during the PSOne days. SO1, well, i guess you'll have your chance with the game once it's out on PSP (or is it out already) ?

i dont feel SO4 being hyped is the same case with killzone2. Mostly due to just what kind of hype the first killzone had.

lol I love Star Ocean, I like it more than Final Fantasy. When I said "who" I was adding this too my amazement that lemmings would actually try and hype this against Final Fantasy. :roll: .Both camps wanted this game and I would say and agree with you that cows probably wanted it more than lemmings due to it being developed for the playstation for several years (SO 2 and 3) Thats where the fanbase probably was. All I see from the bovine nation is FF13 this and FF13 that. There is nothing even known about FF13 yet. There is no gameplay videos or screens for that matter. There is no info on gameplay mechanics. There is no info on anything for the most part. All you know is the name of the franchise and that is it exclusive.

For all the cows that are saying FF13 will be the best rpg and be the best looking a quick question. Do you even care about if the games you buy are even any good or do you just only buy the games that are popular? Do you only care about the games your "supposed" to care about as a PS3 owner? I mean really listen to the love fest over a game you know nothing about.

I've been a long time supporter of Star Ocean, but Till the End of Time left a bad taste in my mouth. It didn't have that same epic pacing as Second Story. I hope this game returns to that same kind of epic feel of the second.Vandalvideo

Anyone played Star Ocean the second Story? Which is considered by many the best game in the series. Becasue I would definitely not be hyping this game. Especially just on screen shots if you haven't played any of the previous games.

The best thing about Star Ocean 2 was its combat. And while It was fine it wasn't even close to being great. Everything else was absolutely mediocre. Not even close to being the best JRPG on Playstation one.

The best time to get a 360 is by the end of this year because it is going to have 2 Square-enix games and other RPGs also ( too human looks interesting).

So far the 360 RPGs ( except mass effect ) are almost meh so don't be on a rush yet.

You are comparing a whole library to one game? FFXIII ( from the number obviously ) is the 13th installment of a "proven" franchise and series, two different comparisons you are making.

We don't know if KZ2 is going to be a critical success or failure because it is an unproven game from the past, it could go either way.

Ofcourse Im confident because of the name and the developers behind the name, it is their flagship franchise, just like Halo series, just like Resident evil series, just like any other franchise that delivered in the past and will deliver in the future,

Yes, I know they will deliver an amazing experience just like the other franchises and btw there are some news and features about the game but it seems you are not interested about FFXIII thats why you don't know anything.

One question, did you ever play a FF game for the past 10 years? because if you do, you will know why it is going to be the best graphics and one of the best RPGs.

And no, thats the problem man, you think we are cows or something like that but we are only fans of the series and we do know what they do every gen, I remember one thing every gen, there are 4 developers who raises the bar graphics wise.

Namco with every Tekken, they do an amazing job with tekken I don't know how they do it,

Capcom with Resident Evil.

Konami with Metal Gear and Square with Final Fantasy, really these 4 make a marvelous job when it comes to graphics with their flagship games.

Well you could look at it this way. If your a big Final Fantasy fan then your probably gonna be looking forward to FFXIII. Im personally looking forward to it for the cyrstal tools engine and I want to see what the fuss is all about so of course its gonna be one of my anticipated titles. Have you checked out some of the screenshots. I think some were actaully confirmed ingame. (from Famitsu FF XIII). Final Fantasy XIII to appear at E3; Possible word on release date? then you have this. Its really shaping up to be a good title. I don't think lems should hype SO 4 because it isn't "proven" like the other guy said as FF has. FF XIII will probably set the bar and then some like the prevouis titles have in term of graphics and gameplay. I also hope SO 4 stays 360 exclusive because I exclusives take full advantage of the hardware.

Yeah, the SO on ps1 was SO2, SO3: Til The End Of Time was a masterpiece, the amazing combat on SO2 was touched up, polished, and made better, the "operatic" storyline was epic, the voice acting was actually pretty good on it, it was really a game that could change people's minds about the genre...I just wish the gamespot reviewer had played it before reviewing it :?

But yeah, it's in my top 5 of all time.

Yeah it was good. The battle system was the main draw for me along with the extras and optional boss fights. I never got to do any of the 4D modes which were supposed to be hard. The game got mixed reactions do to some people not liking the plot twist. I thought it was fine. The main problem I had in the game was that if you run out of MP you...die.

Edit: I can't really remeber what it was called. I think it was called 4D mode or something. I haven't played it in a while.

SO4 was on a ton of ps3 only users hype lists, many of which are the ones know screaming it'll suck, I don't care if it's exclusive or multiplat or omniplat, or rectal thermometry, I've been hyped for it since I finished SO: Til The End Of Time, and hypocritical opinions from people (Not you Chute), will not ruin it for me, and I will not stop hyping it.

Was until the end of time really good? because I didn't have the chance of playing it, SO on the PS1 was great.

Yeah, the SO on ps1 was SO2, SO3: Til The End Of Time was a masterpiece, the amazing combat on SO2 was touched up, polished, and made better, the "operatic" storyline was epic, the voice acting was actually pretty good on it, it was really a game that could change people's minds about the genre...I just wish the gamespot reviewer had played it before reviewing it :?

But yeah, it's in my top 5 of all time.

And SO1 was a super famicon only game, I've never played it, but, I think it was ported to gameboy or something.

Yea I was not sure about the game if it was part 2 or 1, thanks for refreshing my memory and tri ace knows how to pick voice actors, Valkyrie Profile voice actors were great.
