Why is the villain always British? Gabriel Roman in Uncharted 1, Harry Flynn in Uncharted 2 (although he wasn't the main villain) and now this. It's kind of annoying.

Because you know those were the only villains in those games, right? Eddie Raja, Lazarevic, and Navarro were all British. Why is the villain always British? Gabriel Roman in Uncharted 1, Harry Flynn in Uncharted 2 (although he wasn't the main villain) and now this. It's kind of annoying.

Omg they've managed to make it look noticeably better than Uncharted 2 and they have 8 months left of polish. :o

From the PS Blog:
"Katherine Marlowe is the coldly calculating leader of a secret society whose roots date back over four hundred years to the court of Queen Elizabeth I," the PlayStation Blog explains.
"She has a long-standing rivalry with Nathan Drake over Sir Francis Drake's ring - something they both contend is rightfully theirs and is also the key to an ancient mystery.
"As you can tell from the cut-scene above, Marlowe is a much more cerebral enemy than Drake has confronted in the past, using both psychological and physical tactics to get what she is after.
"Marlowe also has the assistance of her team of highly-trained agents in this secret society - they are far more elusive and dangerous than the hired guns Nathan Drake and Victor Sullivan have faced before
I'm glad Naughty God is putting more focus and emphasis on Drake's story. And finally we know why he always carries that ring necklace around.

Yeah that was in the interview from the the other link in the OP.
awesome :D
good to see naughty dog is using MLAA this time, that'll save them alot of performance instead of using 2 x MSAA again.
I like the idea of a female villain. Its unusual for a game and it will set up for some nice back stabbing and sly tactics instead of just going all guns blazing like before. Lazarovic was just too full on all the time. Im glad they dialed it back just a tad. Great choice in my opinion
Better quality version
Believe it or not, I just realized that the Jason Statham-looking guy was speaking English. Somehow I mistook his accent for Russian the first time and wasn't listening to him very well.

If the voice-over is actually by Jason Statham the game just got a whole lot better.
Thanks. Edited the OP with it.Better quality version

ND two steps ahead of other games when they're on their ****. I will never understand the haters of this game who claim they've played it yet call it another above the average "3rd person shooter". I don't know what it is, but these cutscenes just engage me the first time I see it. Probably because this game is elite in cinematic storytelling, voice acting, animations, etc. Even with the flood of games coming which are sure to be amazing, this is still DAY 1.

Didn't make myself clear, but I'm talking about the UC series of course (and particular 2, which received the most amount of praise). You can't simply play through that campaign and say, slightly above average game. Maybe in 3 years when we see much much better 3rd person shooters then yeah that would be reasonable to say this. People should at least acknowledge that Uncharted 2 was a gem, particularly in the single player aspect.[QUOTE="theuncharted34"][QUOTE="mD-"]

[QUOTE="theuncharted34"]Why use MLAA? 2 x MSAA is better right ? MLAA is less resource intensive.awesome :D

I think someone in the comments is onto something regarding one of Marlowe's ancestors. Don't read them if you don't want to know, but the name and the dates match perfectly with Elizabeth's reign.BZSINAhhh!! I don't wanna know! :P
MY GOD it looks so good! Up until now I was like, eh guys be patient. I'm more excited for inFamous 2. NO LONGER!!!
As long as it doesn't have the same copy and past storyline structure like U2 did, I'll be happy. Nonstop-Madness
+1, the search for an ancient city that ends up housing a horrible in the fact that it transforms men into monsters worked the first time and was butchered (in my personal opinion at least) the second time. Barneys on 'roids do not make for compelling enemies.
