+1, the search for an ancient city that ends up housing a horrible in the fact that it transforms men into monsters worked the first time and was butchered (in my personal opinion at least) the second time. Barneys on 'roids do not make for compelling enemies.

What are you talking about? I often make known my love for the series, but I honestly don't understand all of the praise for the sequels story. The characters made it, but the actual plot in and of itself was bad, there's no way anyone could possibly deny that. Add on to that the fact that it was almost a carbon copy of the original's (simply substitute a few terms here and there in a general synopsis, and you could simplistically sum up both plots), and you can't help but hope for more in the third. Thats all I'm doing. Get your blatant fanboyism out of here.

Wow I'm more hyped now :)! I like that they focused on improving melee and stealth (thanks Ezio!), as both were relatively weaker than the shooting. Makes it an even more complete action packaged. Will be a blast to play :)!!!

Good to see another American company using the English as bad guys.

And again, looks like we're either cockney or posh. Maybe we'll strike it lucky and get a Liverpudlian who looks like a 60's Beatle in it!

Seriously what is this obsession with making Brits bad guys?

In fact has their been an American villian in any of the Uncharted games?

lol at Brits crying about being made villains as if they are the only ones. Hmm, maybe it actually has something to do with the UC lore, I wonder? Oh, but who cares about story as long as the villain ISN'T British, amirite?

It's bit cliche to use British accent to make a villain seem colder ( note the "melting-joke"). However it works :). It also fits with the story since it's a clash between Francis Drake and Queen Elizabeth descendants (well i seems like it).

Richard Lemarchand said in the interview (~2:40) that the villain, Catherine Marlowe (unsure how to spell it), is leader of an organisation rooted in E1's group of advisors and espionage. But u are right that E1 herself may have had nothing to do with that group. I missinterpreted him the first time I heard it. Still it makes sense to have a Brit leading an old, conservative, British organisation?

Apart from the fact that each game in the series has an English villain of some sort. These villains aren't related. I haven't played Drake's Fortune, but I looked it up and lo and behold, the bad guy is English. Also, the descendent of Sir Francis Drake in the game is...American? And the majority of the good guys are American (except Chloe, whose loyalty is questioned throughout UC2).

Chloe was Australian. There are only four American characters (yeah, they're glorifying the US, right?) one of which dies. You're missing the abundance of Asian, Spanish and Russian bad guys, too. There was also a Tibetan good guy and a German good guy. But okay, 4/7 is a majority I suppose. The absence of US villains is neither good nor bad, so I don't know why you are implying what you are implying. In fact, such absence just implies that there aren't any decent US thieves out there in the UC universe. Also don't go out and say "these villains aren't related". You have no idea about Drake's history so you aren't at liberty to make such claims. Addendum: You are aware this game is about explaining Drake's history, right?

If the villains haven't been shown to be related yet, then surely it is a fair assumption to make? Whether you like it or not, American media uses English villains all the time. They are also stereotyped as either well spoken toffs or cockney. If Americans were as stereotyped in European games, TV and films I would totally understand if they were pissed off.

Naive assumption, yeah, not fair. Quite the course to take though, if you were trying to victimise the British, of course. :) Also, lol "American media uses English villains all the time." Put this in context, please. As in they use English villains more instead of other nationalities? As in they use English villains when it doesn't even make sense? As in they use English villains more than English protagonists? Nvm, you're completely missing the point, which is, it's all about the story. The UK has the richest history in all the world. Obv media are going to use them (you should be taking that as a compliment). Hey, are you even sure it's just America? I think Australia does it too... Bollywood also. But who cares, right? It's those damn Americans!

Each country has their own stereotypes of other countries. If you look at foreign media, you'll see the same things Americans do. Chloe was Australian. they're a special kind, only avaible when you get kicked in the 'gentlemen's area'
