[QUOTE="-GeordiLaForge-"][QUOTE="GsSanAndreas"]Wow kinda sad. 3 Xbox's in less then 10 years, and wel probly see a new xbox after the zephyr in 2 years-Sniper99-Sony releases new Playstations too. It's nothing new. The PS2 slimline had more features than the first PS2.The slimline was 4 years after the original PS2, and all it had was an ethernet port, and it was smaller:| This new 360 is a different colour, has HDMI, MUCH bigger HD, and maybe more? This sucks to be a 360 owner right now:( No, it played dvd's in dvd quality, which the PS2 couldn't do. And I read that Zephyr was the codename for the 65nm Xenon, not a new 360. As of right now, this is nothing but a rumor...

Exactly.
Proof? Exactly. It pisses me off that I bought a 360 a couple months ago, now I'm missing out on a harddrive thats 6 times bigger and an HDMI port... Atleast what sony added to the slim PS2 wasnt as dramatic as these xbox changes. Pro-Scan support of 480p when no games supported it? Who cared. But HDMI is a big thing and especially that harddrive.asdasd

And the fact that the HDD will most likely be like the 12 GB ones. You can disconnect and probably even buy one seperately.
Only if you need HDMI and a bigger HDD.Of course they will but then consumers will have to ponder why there's a more expensive, seemingly improved version. When I purchase something, I don't like to harbor a regret that I could've bought the better version.

When did the 360 cost $499?
and it doesn't need an HD-DVD player.

Chris Stachell (spelling) from Microsoft has already stated it was real and they were experimenting with it.
One thing about that picture, it looks like a normal HDMI port, but what about optical out for audio? On the current 360, its on Microsoft's proprietary cable. Maybe you just use that along with the HDMI, but if you did that you'd have the component ends just sitting there.(sorry if already posted)

One question.Whatever troll... A 3% failure rate is not that bad... 100% of PS2's were defective when it launched in Japan...
Do you guys think that MS will fix that red ring of death in the new 360? or will they still be breaking to hell?

Only if you need HDMI and a bigger HDD. Felous1
If 360 games begin to take advantage of HDMI it would be a nice feature to have, and clearly the larger hardrive is for the downloaded HD content in tv shows, movies, etc through their service. The features aren't necessary but it's nice to have them there; just like the PS3's OS support and the Wii's 'weather channel.'

100% failures? Surely, you must be joking. Â
Now I don't know if I should just buy a 360 now or later. If I buy it now, I get the cheaper, white one, but with a smaller hard drive. If I wait, I get a larger hard drive and HDMI, but I get a black one and pay more. Stuck between a rock and a hard place . . .Xythos09The question is, do you really need HDMI and the extra space that badly? I can tell you that 20GB is enough if you only use it for games and the occasional demos and XBLA games, and you can just delete the stuff you don't need later on.
[QUOTE="asdasd"]One question.I think they will still have connection problems with their wireless controllers.

Stuck between a rock and a hard place . . .Xythos09If you wont take advantage of the larger hard drive (recording live TV I do remember mircosoft saying) or don't really care that much about HDMI (which it might upscale DVD movies to 720p or 1080i since vga did) buy it now since now we know there will probably be no price cut until at earilest holidays (Nov-Dec). For me I'm sticking with my 20gb (enough for only game demos) and componet cables (even though I have DVI enable TV).
DementedDragon you're missing the point ppl are paying alot for these systems and MS is not doing their best to give us alot of bang for our buck. Every so often theyre selling things to make the 360 better and now theyre going all out and making a whole new system all together. Thats not right the ps3 is expensive but your getting everything that MS is NOW deciding to add, consumers will feel duped if this thing really does come out.Big_Greg
Well yes that's true, first it was the HD-DVD add on and now this; it would be okay if they didn't have a large fanbase. So I suppose they are giving 10 million customers the finger, but I think its' safe to agree that the Wii is the only current gen console that wasn't rushed.

No, every single PS2 had a software defect when it released in Japan. And then came the disk read errors when it was released in the rest of the world, which Sony didn't correct until they got sued...[QUOTE="-GeordiLaForge-"]That's a lie. I wouldnt call it fixing if its being repaired then break again and I also read how theyre being investigated because the 360s are failing shortly after the warranty ends.
It plays the same games, it's just as powerful. The only difference is it's quieter, bigger HDD (and I'm sure they'll sell the 120GB seperately) and a HDMI port. It's just like DS Lite or PS2 Slim. :|HDMI and 120 gb, better chip? more quite?... omg why? this is like a entirely a new console
i'm sorry but whoever said its a same console and what not is in denial.
