With twitter,facebook,zune marketplace and last fm integration that will blow away psn forever. You can take screenshots from all games and post them to facebook for all to see. I dont think theres any reason to buy a ps3 anymore. Also theres 1080p streaming so that replaces blu-ray.

Whichever M$ Boss is responsible for this outrageous Xbox Live Update, and is planning Xbox Live's Future should be fired immediately.

Facebook: Can be done on PS3

Twitter: can be done on PS3

last FM: can be done on PS3

Lol my PS3 has been doing this since release date. Oh and guess what? I can do twitter, facebook, and Last.FM at the same time! Oh lets throw myspace in the mix while we are at it too! This thread is fail, give up TC Live is trash and not worth $50 a year. That money could be spent on another AAA title to your collection.

But why would you bother actually trying to post updates using a controller and moving the cursor to a selected letter when you can just go on your computer, post a message in just seconds, and you'll ready to go?

I kike XBL but I don't see how being able to use last fm, Twitter,face book will make live better. I can use those features on my PC and PS3 (which I don't)

I for one like to check what's going on before i play a game on my xbox, with the addition of facebook i'll have even more to check and get involved with.

IF ms market this correctly it could even increase sales, especially if they base some Arcade games around facebook intergration. Facebook has a lot of games that people play, bringing them to Live, and making some exclusive to live will be a good idea.

It's not alienating anyone. Allowing Xbox Live games to be made to work with facebook would be a great idea. It's not like you're taking away from what current facebook users can access.

I have a feeling that the people downplaying it;s impact are those who aren't in to social networking. Or social thing outside of WoW at all.

XBL is still not free, and PSN still is. Tons of people use Iphones for updating facebook and twitter stuff too, but really, consoles are better for GAMES. I will use my PC for social networking stuff. now if M$ can integrate Internet Explorer 8 into XBL, THEN i'll be impressed. Web Browsing on the Wii and ps3 is just so so. A FULLY functional browser would be nice (in case i'm too lazy to walk across the house to use my computer).

so really the xboxlive update will NOT blow away the psn. xboxlive's interface is too clunky still.
