I for one like to check what's going on before i play a game on my xbox, with the addition of facebook i'll have even more to check and get involved with.

IF ms market this correctly it could even increase sales, especially if they base some Arcade games around facebook intergration. Facebook has a lot of games that people play, bringing them to Live, and making some exclusive to live will be a good idea.

Facebook and Twitter will not enhance my gold subscription on Live whatsoever. I'd rather use my Blackberry to access those sites when I really feel the need to.

Also, 1080P streaming is NOT the same as Blu-Ray people.

Get Internet Explorer 8 into a 360 THEN I shall be VERY impressed because the browsers on PS3 & Wii suck as hell.

The browser on the PS3 is not as good as a PC browser, but it's not at all useless. I use it quite regularly, especially to surf streaming sports matches.

PS3/PSN has internet browser thus can do more than just facebook,twitter and last fm etc.

I do not see how the next xbox live update will blow the PSN out.

Yes, allowing the 360 to do three useless things as opposed to having access to the internet is the greatest thing since the lightbulb. Oh, but PC and PS3 can do all those andwhatever else the internet can provide - including (and almost exclusively) "adult stuff". Ya I got an office with a computer but it's nice to stream "adult stuff" videos to my 55" in the living room to the PS3. But ya, 70$ a year (CDN)for demos(that are free on PC & PS3), cross game chat - and now twitter!!! Way better than PC and PSN;) good job TC I'm sure your future in ground breaking jounalism is bright - now for the next topic... HD DVD blows away Bluray.

Live has some nice features for people interested in them, and if Gold was available with all of the extras it has now without holding online multiplayer hostage to force a fee on those that couldn't give a hoot about twittering from their console, then I'd hail it too. And we'd see rather quickly how many people actually value those features.
