NInja Gaiden crushes God of War.

NG is more technical GoW is more fun, depends on what you like.

NG is an awesome game but I still had more fun playing GoW/2 even though it was 100x easier. The boss battles and levels are alot more epic in GoW but when it comes to straight gameplay NG owns it no question about it. NG's combat system is 2nd to none in the action game genre.

Well I actually wanted to play God of War before reading this...maybe I would enjoy God of War more just because you don't die every 30 seconds like you do in Ninja Gaiden.Bansheesdie

even if NG is frustrating, it doesn't get boring and make me quit. that has always baffled me.

Even after beating Ninja Gaiden 6 times, reading about how great this game is sends chills down my spine because it really is that good and of course it crushes God of War

Yeah. That's why I like it, as well. The gameplay is NEVER frustrating--even though the game is incredulously difficult.

am i the only one here that found it VERY hard on God...

it pales in comparison to the harder difficulties of NG, but still..

I like GoW more. So I disagree.

The gameplay in NG is awesome and is better than GoW, but the production value, story and characters in GoW makes it my favourite.

I noticed that as well. Wierd. I yelled and hated Ninja Gaiden so much playing through it, but I never stopped playing. That says something about the game.

I think I've beaten it around that many times. Whats the highest difficult you've beaten? Mine is Very Hard, didn't try Master Ninja. I did however beat every Mission Mode on Master Ninja (except the Helicopter one :evil: )

Is GoW really in direct comparison to NG? I thought it was DMC. Finale-

same here. and in my opinion DMC is better. then again, i only played a couple of levels of NGB and the demo of NGS

you wouldn't believe how pissed off i got when i first got to the part where you have to climb back up a coiling side of a wall with jumping platforms with the zombie archers shooting you. and i still played it. i never got so pissed in a game...and normally id quit if i even reached half of that anger - not in NG

God of War is a fantastic game, but Ninja Gaiden is just better. That doesn't reflect badly on God of War, it just says how incredible Ninja Gaiden is.

Playstation 3 owner here and I concur with the TC I owned an xbox and NG was easily the better game except for the story GOW owns in that category.

I actually liked DMC3 better than both GOWs, to me I think NG should be compared to DMC3

But.....NG is still the better Game like a difference of 9.6 and 9.3

Personally, I see DMC1/3 and NG as quite superior to GoW. More in-depth and skill-based combat system that rewards timing and originality in fighting style (particularly in the former where your rank actually decreases if you use the same moves repetitively), better boss fights, more challenge, and just overall more engaging, IMO. And I must disagree about GoW's boss fights, the 3 of them that the game had (I don't count the Medusa) I found to be overly simplistic and even to an extent lame. I just kinda went 'Oh, ok.', and carried on slaughtering countless regular goons. Whereas DMC3 and NG had me feeling awesome when I managed to beat their respective offerings (I'm ashamed to admit I actually made a victory dance for beat Vergil on DMD mode :oops: ).

GoW's graphics and presentation are downright awesome, but I find that I don't care about graphics almost at all, which I guess might be why I didn't enjoy it much.

As someone mentioned above, Capcom.

See: Resident Evil 4, Resident Evil 1, Street Fighter 2.

Ninja Gaiden= moderate replay value and fast-paced action.

God of War= no replay value and slow, boring, repetitive attacks.

Therefore Ninja Gaiden FTW
