I just did some research on this and I'm calling this out for being false Ninja Gaiden Sigma was made from a game that was a third party exclusive Ninja Gaiden II however is published by Microsoft Game Studios...Why would they allow for a port to be made?Toriko42

Ninja Gaiden II published by M$ doesn't mean anything.

With a few tweaks in the content they can say it's a different game, thus SIGMA... Same thing happened with RE4 for the PS2, Capcom added stuff to make it "different".

This makes me want to try Sigma , but I'm scared it is too much for me. I heard only 5% of the people who played NG/NG Sigma actually go on to beat it. The ones who getpretty farand don't finish end up in a straight jacket and a padded cell somewhere.

On normal is perfectly doable. On hard, I can't get past the first boss... if I get to him that is lol

Since it's Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 and not just a Ninja Gaiden 2 port, hopefully Team Ninja is going to polish it up in ways that the original was lacking. I never played NG2, but from what I hear it was kind of disappointing, and more or less felt like a NG mission pack. Not sure how much they can change about that, but I definitely look forward to getting this game, simply because I loved Sigma so much. Even if this is just a port of NG2 with some added goodies, I'm sure I'll still enjoy it.

Now, where's my friggin' Mass Effect: Redux on PS3?

Good for PS3 owners, its a great game and it looks pretty legit, but i swear their was an article quoting the creator of the NG2 that it would be the last of the series

April Fools' is a primarily western tradition, and I am not aware of it being widely practiced in other countries. Also, Famitsu comes out weekly, so they would not publish a joke in March, unlike most American gaming rags that do (since they always hit newstands a month early). And if it was a rumor, they wouldn't have gone through the trouble of publishing mutliple screenshots and a fancy "Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2" logo.

What is the harder game, considering the hardest modes available on both the Devil May Cry franchise (beat DMC1,DMC3 and DMC4 on hardest difficulties and S ranks), or the Ninja Gaiden franchise on its own hardest difficulty? Never played a NG game before, though I've always wanted to pick up NGS, though it remains locked at a high retail price.Brainhunter

Depends... DMC4 could be nearly impossible on Heavenor Hell mode if you're not using guns.

NG2 simply did not live up to the original.

We all know the horrible story can't be fixed. Let's hope all the gameplay flaws do.

The game is hard....very hard. You will curse at your screen and almost break your controllers. I wanted to throw mine out the dam window. I did eventualy beat sigma and teabaged my tv in victory and screamed "HOW YOU LIKE ME NOW!!!". NG2 is a push over compared to the hell sigma put me through.

i hope its going to be 1080p like sigma 1..the version the 360 got was a low res mess i really dissapointed with it..daveg1

more so, if NG2 really is coming to PS3, expect MS big surprise at E3 to be, MGS4: Sub to Xbox 360 (and PS3). MightyMuna

Tecmo and Konami are not the same company.

Also, I'm pretty sure the reason why you'll never see MGS4 on Xbox 360 is because Konami wants to push their POS proprietary online platform with the game, and Microsoft would try to make them use Xbox Live (not saying Metal Gear Online ain't great, but I seriously hate having to go through Konami's service to play it).
