Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 is a PS3 Exclusive...Wait, what? *56k Warning*

Yep folks, behold at the PS3 exclusive!

But wait a second...What about:

But anyway it does make sense, Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 does have a ton of features that Ninja Gaiden 2 doesn't have (At least, that's what the developers are saying). And you can really only get that version on the PS3, I guess it's a stretch, but OK!

But let's go back in time and see that:

Ninja Gaiden Sigma didn't even have that fancy little bar claiming it's a PS3 exclusive.

So what say you system warriors? Is Ninja Gaiden 2 a 360 exclusive still, and is Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 a PS3 exclusive? Or is this all publisher craziness, and these are not at all exclusives?

Chances are Sigma 2 will score AA and they'll negate each other.

But if it goes above and beyond to manage AAA, I wouldn't consider it an exclusive. Kind of like MLB 09; merely a superior version of a game found on other platforms.

Ninja Gaiden 2 is 360 exclusive, Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 is PS3 exclusive, that settles it.

Not exclusive. I'm still playing the same main story with the same main character. Add the women, add a weapon or two and some extra levels. It's still primarily a battle with Dagra Dai, 4 Greater Fiends, and the Arch Fiend. Only, you can keep this PG-13, Purple essnce version. I like my sword work bloody and brutal.cainetao11

Not really trying to push it, but I think there's also co-op in Sigma 2.

Well technically these features are exclusive: 3 extra playable characters, extra game modes, enemies/bosses, weapons and better camera.

I don't consider Ninja Gaiden for the 360 as exclusive, however, the same thing applies to Sigma. It's essentially a copy of Ninja Gaiden with exclusive contents. So although it has exclusive contents, that doesn't make it a different game from the original one. Take GTA4 as example, the 360 one has exclusive contents but the game itself isn't exclusive. Bad example IMO, GTA4 exclusive stuff is all DLC ADD-ONS. Not stuff that comes out of the box, therefore isn't available to everyone. Same with Bioshock, the PS3 version got some add-on stuff just I believe it was all DLC.

To date it sounds like all of the new stuff for Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 is in the box, ready to go.

You got a point. If I have to pay separately for the extra contents in GTA4, I don't think it should be consider as extra for the game. Anyway, I justify a game being exclusive or not by the experience I gain from playing the game. If the experience with playing Sigma is vastly different than the one on 360, it should be classified as exclusive, otherwise, It shouldn't be.hoplayletsplay

Yet the developers have been saying that there's going to be new bosses, levels, 3 characters, and co-op. Also better controls.

Co-Op adds another side to things, and if the controls are indeed better and if the enemy AI is balanced it would be a vastly different experience compared to the first Ninja Gaiden 2...At least that's what the developers say. Is that enough new content to justify it as a exclusive in terms of raw improvements/ add-on content?

I would make more sense, get those depressed 15 year olds, add in some Linkin Park as the theme song for Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2, and you got a hit!

If they aren't going to get a 'T' rated game, and still a 'M' game, then I don't see the point.

Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 s getting Co-op, more weapons, mre fun, and new playable characters. Is just bigger and better.

I am on chapter 12 in Ninja Gaiden Sigma, and I have absolutely no desire to finish it. Disappointingly easy, and the only thing that stands out in it is the combat. I think I'll pass on this outing and just wait for God of War III, the true champion of hack 'n' slash.DeathScape666

Seems more like an exclusive expansion pack to me (in a sense). The fundamental gameplay structure is not changed in any significant way. It is merely being added to. Like how Shivering Isles added to Oblivion. Or Brood War added to StarCraft. Or Lord of Destruction added to Diablo II.

Its basically the same game with more stuff. I don't see how that makes it "exclusive." Its like the difference between Dead Rising and Chop Till You Drop.

Judging from an EDGE interview with the dev's it's because of censorship.

They did ofc do some pr tricks but something about strict censorship laws gave it away.

Same game, with a few new features and the word 'Sigma' slapped onto the end of it. I think I'm going to sell my copy of NG2, I bought it literally days before the NGS2 announcement, and when they started revealing all of the improvements, I just looked at my inferior Xbox version and let out a big sigh. Plus I first played NG on the PS3 with sigma and using the Xbox controller just feels weird.

why can't it be exclusive? both consoles get another game to their exclusive list. is it because NGS was AAA and NG2 wasn't? is that why? and NGS2 should be counted as exclusive. they're adding a ton of things to it like multiplayer and other things.

Sony only started using those "Only On PlayStation" bars recently, which is why the bar is not on the first game.
