While Sony and MS are trying their hardest to get devs to make games for their console, Nintendo is again releasing a new peripheral instead. It's been like this since the Wii launched and it shows within its game library compared to the other two consoles.

Mario Kart Wii vastly outscored Mario Kart 64 and Mario Kart Double Dash. So what's so hard about him saying its his favorite Mario Kart?

Because it takes away so many of the things that makes mario kart fun and doesn't take away the crap people hate like blue shells.The entire framework of the game has been NOOBifide.

If they charge me for this, and games utilize it without coming with it as a pack in, its milkage, just like rumble is, and just like XBL is.

I am sure I will buy it, but man, I am tired of buying crap that should have been available at launch, made to work better before it came out, or should have been available on the disc.

I don't follow a company blindly, I pay attention to it's strenghts and weaknesses and I choose what console I buy for that.

Dualshock says hello. its pretty much exactly like Dualshock 2, except for the motion sensing where 90% of ps3 games dont use anyway...

ps3 is pretty much using a last gen controller.... hasnt this become apparent to you?

I like the more added racers, and the Blue Shell has never been a problem for me since day one in the N64 game. Yeah if you're way ahead and you get hit, you cans scream and shout like a toddler, but seriously it's just the name of the game. Items are a random variable in the game, you can't really consider a game like Mario Kart to be about your driving skills alone. You need to consider items, and frankly it's been that way since the SNES games and up.

Red shells can be a pain in the ass to anyone, Green shells take skills to shoot, Bananans strategize to lay up and not run over, but in the end, they are variables that will always be decided by luck, since where you place and where you are in the race currently, you get a random chance of any item. (Yet your placement makes a chance of somethiing better usually appearing.)

If you don't like the Blu shell, how have you played Mario Kart all these years? I don't get people who whine about the blue shell...

Um no. I speak bluntly about all the consoles. Pro's and con's. I was not happy that Sony took forever to release the Dual Shock 3 and on top of that I never bought for a second that rumble was "last gen". I criticize each console and give credit when it's due. I know that enrages fanboys and it always has people accusing me of being a fanboy for one console or the other which is funny cause in the end they are all just entertainment machines to me. I have no attachment to these lifeless machines or heartless corporations. At least I am objective. That is something you can't say about Mr. Diddy Kong up there.

If I see otherwise, I'll retract my statements, but you've always been the one to kiss Sony's lips. I've yet to see you be so critical, and even when something like DS 3 came out you still praised the controller if I wasn't mistaken, being like "the best" because it has motion and rumble and still is the standard pad if I wasn't mistaken.

Heh an interesting idea but its an addon and all addons are dangerous. If Nintendo starts giving these out for free like with the Wii condoms, bundling them with every wiimote sold, and every Wii sold, not to mention with games like they did with n64 starfox, Donkey Kong 64 ect. Then it could be more of an impact.

Great move.

With Sony & Microsoft both unveiling their motion sensing controller, this was needed unless Nintendo wanted to get beat at their own game.

Now the question is, how will they deliver that new accessorie. The best thing imo would be to bundle this with Wii Sports 2. Hopefully they will also start making this standard by offering it with the console as soon as possible. I really hope they have a good amount of games to show tomorrow taking advantage of this.

its not preference. the gc controller is better for competitive play, where precision matters. Point is, wiimote is not the optimal way to play.

That would make me respect Nintendo all the more, and I would be more likely to support games that use this.

Its a great feature, but I am not looking to spend more money on accessories. This gen has enough spending on things that are not games already.

If they update the Wiimote, then all the Wiimotes out there will be useless. That will be milkage and a rip-off.

and no, im not a noob. if you want to play brawl, we'll exchange FC's and i'll wipe the floor with you using the wiimote-nunchuk combo... its the only controller i use for brawl.
