I think it is time for a reality check. Nintendo has several flaws, we all know this, but do people think that they have an unlimited work force that can make any game they want? Do they think that every single one of their development teams should be flawless? Here are just a few facts to keep you in order.

1. Nintendo invested more than $140 million in research and development in 2002; the U.S. government spent less than half as much on research and innovation in education.

That was in 2002, I'm sure that it is much more now. That is a huge amount of money and i'm sure that no other company sinks that amount into R&D.

Oh, but this is not nearly enough right? These games are all rehashes right? They didn't take up hundreds of millions of dollars! They have all been done before... it's just Nintendo! These games didn't take the time and dedication of thousands of men and women! Nintendo wouldn't do that! They don't care about us! Right?

3. In 2002, Nintendo bought Retro Studios for 1 million dollars to help them create the Metroid Prime franchise, currently the third best game of all time according to GameRankings.

but.... Nintendo doesn't care about the Hardcore! They only care about casuals... that was way back in 2002!

4. In 2007, Nintendo bought Monolith soft. for an unknown amount of money. They are the creators of Xenosaga and are currently working on the now 3-years-in-development game, Disaster: Day of Crisis.

who cares? They have yet to prove themselves! They have never made an AAA game, and only AAA games matter!

5. Nintendo secures the rights to Fatal Frame and Techmo hands it over to Grasshopper and Nintendo to dual develop Fatal Frame 4 for the Nintendo Wii.
link
lol, Fatal Frame? That game isn't popular... who cares? Does it matter that it is possibly the scariest franchise in gaming? Nah! Nintendo doesn't care!

6. Nintendo officially steals Monster Hunter 3 away from the PlayStation 3 and the game becomes exclusive on Wii.
link
That must mean that Capcom just doesn't want to work on the title and only make a quick buck even though they have confirmed that it is the most expensive Wii endeavor they have ever done and that they have huge plans for it when it launches in America.

7. Nintendo manages 2 gaming divisions, creates some of the best games in the world, single-handedly holds up their own consoles with amazing software, appeals to every audience imaginable, but is never good enough.
