No of course not I feel it is the better handheld there is a big difference. When I started playing Ipod Touch games I cant go back to playing DS games because its like going back a generation (and paying more for the games). You just get a feeling when you play a game like NFS that it is how handheld gaming in 3D should be handled.

LegatoSkyheart

I play PSP games. I play PS3 games. I play 360 games. I play Wii games.

Yet I still play NES and SNES games and N64 games.

But would you pay more $40 bucks typical DS game $5 ipod

games are $50-60 would you pay 8 of that for Mario 64 instead of $60 for galaxy?

I tried racing on DS but digital analog pad is by far the best control on racing for handhelds imo compared to dpads or anolog nub

oh ok carry on then:P

Controlling games like Eliminate Pro with you fingers = Bad. Most games on the Ipod Touch have horrible controls. Same with the DS. But the DS is more precise because you use a pen and not your large fingers.

Just face it ghost, the iPod is not a REAL gaming platform. It doesn't have any buttons. It's battery life is horrible. It's games are equally horrible. Fart apps...really. Not to mention Apple has one of the worst rating boards ever. Banning something like a South Park app but allowing something like....i don't know.....a baby shaker app. The DS has been out longer, probably has a larger install base, has much better games, and is cheaper. Say what you want when it comes to games Apple IS NOT and WILL NOT be king when Nintendo is around. Remember the Apple Pip-Pin. Yeah, didn't think so.

Reading Comprehension Fail.

I said "probablly better". Do you know the definition of probably. And of course you stopped reading, logic is just way too much for you to handle. Which is why most of your posts are utter garbage.

Yup we have the games on our side.

Can't wait for Nino Kuni to be fully released.

It's seems to be gettingsome of the highest production quality out of all of the DS games and will be the largest one to date.

Also I love Studio Ghibli.

The Demo was awesome and the trailer they showed was really good.

4 is on the GBA and not in n64ish 3dghost392

Final Fantasy IV for the DS is more than just a graphical update. Numerous changes were made to the battle system, bosses were re-tuned, and story elements were added or expanded upon.

ds is the way to go for games like i said apple is just for music and other business things

is this even a debate ,

the price for a pad is outragious if your only gonna use it for gaming and as your only gaming unit lol ,

500 for a handheld that plays mostly old ports of old games

meh looks like a psp repeat

Uhh... Yea. Above this, this suggests you don't play a DS and you haven't played just about all of those AAA DS games you're criticizing. Advance Wars is worse than Command + Conquer? Yoshi's Island is like its SNES predecessor? :| Your standards argument for the last page was entirely unnecessary because I proved you wrong before that, too.

I own a iphone (pretty much a ipod touch just it has phone features) and I don't even have to own a nintendo DSI to know that it blows anything apple has to offer off the table in terms of games. Sure it has some classics like final fantasy and new games like GTA chinatown wars, all for very good prices but nearly every game suffers from some sort of control issue (especially FPS/3D games)

If the iphone had a controller accessory then it could compete but as it stands now your better off getting a nintendo DSI for pure gaming.

I'd go with the iPod Touch. It's actually $10 cheaper than the DSi XL if you get it on amazon. The difference between the high-priced, so-called "AAA" DS games and the best games on the App Store are blown far out of proportion. There are many full-fledged games available, many ports of PC and DS games, and there are also hundreds of very good small games. I argue not that the iPod gaming library is better, because it is not. But that it is the more cost-effective purchase. The big advantage here is obviously the price of the games themselves, and the iPod Touch will easily pay for itself over time given its versatility and multifunctionality. Although, honestly, I would just go for the iPhone so that you no longer need to carry around multiple devices at all.

I can't believe this thread is still going on! TC, which one did you decide, or did you leave this thread long ago?
