[QUOTE="nintendoboy16"][QUOTE="MirkoS77"]Each time I hear something about Nintendo nowadays I cringe. I wonder if they're even aware that they're turning into the laughing stock of the industry. I'm really beginning to believe that I, and probably mostly everybody on these boards, could manage Nintendo far better than Iwata and company could. What is going on over there?MirkoS77
Big words. Usually the exact opposite happens.I see Iwata's performance is flawed, but if I had to pick my poison, better to pick trying but struggling Nintendo, rather than dystopian Nintendo (where everyone started to hate them so much in the N64 era and headed to Playstation).
You come out in defense of Nintendo no matter what they do, for what reasons I cannot understand. I do believe people around here have a much better idea than Nintendo in what needs to be done, because I think Nintendo is stuck in the past and continues to insulate themselves from what's going on. They have proven time and again that they hold no foresight by releasing outdated hardware, JUST going HD (welcome to 2006 Nintendo), failing to invest in online when it was new, failing to invest and pursue the western market, etc etc.Â
Sure, many don't understand the specific intricacies of running a business, but it's the entire philosophy and approach Nintendo seems to be missing, and I think they're missing this because they choose to exist in their own bubble and are out of touch with what many wish for. This is evident all over the boards. Gamers know what's important and desirable to them, Nintendo apparently seems to have no clue. When I say that I seriously believe many here could manage Nintendo better, it's because I'm beginning to believe that Nintendo couldn't manage themselves much worse.
 What? :lol:Yeah, I sure defended Nintendo for when they:
-had an 18+ internet block (Europe only; has been fixed)
-had a bad budget line-up for Wii (seriously, compare Wii's Nintendo Selects to GC Player's Choice)
-screwed up 3DS/Wii/Wii U launches with faulty hardware (Cube was reported to have issues as well)
-have multiple freaking friendcodes, one for each game (admittedly, I didn't mind it at first, but when I played more games, it got annoying; though has since been fixed to an extent with a one-code per system)
-50HZ retro games on Wii U (Europe; though since F-Zero, this doesn't seem to be that big of a problem anymore)
-censorship (though has mostly gotten over it since Mortal Kombat II on SNES, though for some reason NOE did not help at all by censoring Metroid Prime 3, later having NA suffer with it thanks to Metroid Prime Trilogy. Granted it's only one word, but still)
