I really loved Mario RPG, but I just couldnt get into the Paper Mario games. I never tried the Mario and Luigi handheld titles.
Either way, FFVI and CT arent Nintendo games, so no.
[QUOTE="Thefatness16"]OvrratedNah, Chrono Trigger is on the PS1 as well.

One of the few games that far surpassed the extremely unrealistic expectations people had for it. I dont think its over, or under rated. CT gets the praise it deserves.
Since when has mario been considered a role playing game. It's a platformer. Period. RGP=Final Fantasy, Zelda, Skyrim etc. Thread closed.

You're right, the main mario games are not RPGs, but its funny that you state that and then in turn list Zelda.
Paper Mario is the greatest RPG series of all time. No bugs like Elder Scrolls or Fallout or bad endings like Mass Effect 3 just countless hours of awesome. Also, come at me JRPG fans. :cool:TheDidact
Sorry, but for the last 15+ years pokemon has dominated the rpg genre, this has been proven by sales and metacritic

I'm not gonna lie, Pokemon is an incredibly deep RPG. But Paper Mario is the king of console RPGs.[QUOTE="Meeeper282"][QUOTE="TheDidact"]Paper Mario is the greatest RPG series of all time. ovrratedChrono Trigger says hi. Though the Mario RPGs are great, they don't stand up to other RPGs.

Speaking of Fire Emblem, I would say that the Fire Emblem games are Nintendo's best RPGs.

Agreed, as Fire Emblem for the GBA is my favorite game of all time. The day Fire Emblem comes out for the 3DS is the day I save up to buy one.
Xenoblade, Fire Emblem, Pokemon, Super Mario RPG, Paper Mario, Earthbound/Mother... take your pick. Whichever way you go, you're likely to pick a game that is at least top 5 in it's category of RPG. Nintendo knows how to do 'em.

Pokemon have been pretty much the same for over 15+ years.Pokemon red/blue are absolutely nothing like black/white. Special defense, abilities, different battle types, huge amount of new pokemon, held items, moves are special/physical based on move, not type, etc.[QUOTE="PhazonBlazer"]
