PhazonBlazer
The worst part is the "F*CK YOU!!!" part

Thank god the two M rated games I own don't have characters that use the f world a lot.

[QUOTE="nameless12345"]Yet Gears has way better gameplay then Jet Force Gemini. You wouldn't be judging the game by it's graphics would you? I thought Nintendo fans never do that :PI would rather play something like this than something like this on a Nintendo system.
locopatho
lolno.
Gears is as generic a 3rd person shooter can get. (yes, I played it)
I pick a cartoony shooter like Jet Force, MDK or Fur Fighters over it any day.
I like good graphics and I don't know what you're trying to say here.

Nintendo is Nintendo. They'll do what they'll always do, make 1st party games and consoles. They can do whatever they want, the company is bloated with ca$h.

This "argument" dates all the way back to SNES, actually.
GC was, indeed, the victim of the same snobism.
It didn't matter that it had fun, quality and diverse games, it mattered that it was purple and that it "looked like a purse". (pretty retarded to think so as it's easily one of the best-looking consoles of all time but w/e)
People didn't want a games' machine, they wanted a "cool-looking" DVD-player. (i.e. PS2)
At the time even some so-called "Nintendo fans" got a PS2 instead of a GameCube so I don't think anyone can really complain about the direction they took with the Wii. (except for those of us who did buy the GC and it's best games)

You can expect to hear some flip-flopping damage control saying "Buh... buh... those were Nintendo's 'mature' systems"It's obvious that's not what they said when they released.

Not to me. I prefer the GC (and XBOX) over PS2 last gen, and it had some of the best libraries I've ever experienced. The console itself was compact, sleek and quiet. Prefer the controllers over PS2's DS2.
They lost me after GC, simply because the Wii wasn't all cracked up to be, at least to me. Didn't like the support or the price. The only redeeming qualities it had were: it's sleek design and backwards compatibility with GC games.

The "kiddy Nintendo" thing was meaningless when you could play Final Fantasy, Contra, Mortal Kombat and Top Gear instead. It gets a bit more of a problem when those 3rd party games disappear.[QUOTE="nintendoboy16"]You can expect to hear some flip-flopping damage control saying "Buh... buh... those were Nintendo's 'mature' systems"[QUOTE="nameless12345"]

By that logic, you could say the same with No More Heroes and Resident Evil. Neither of those deteriorated Nintendo's "kiddy" image and no amount of third party support would change that. A couple of random, niche, low budget, B team games like NMH or Resi rail shooters are a million miles away from having ALL the AAA blockbuster games from ALL the best developers. The NES and SNES had that, as do their handhelds, the other consoles they make don't. The SNES, no matter how much third party support it got, was regarded as a "kiddy" console to the point that most older gamers prefer SEGA's content.

Sorry that's just wrong. Nintendo consoles absolutey do not need to have that image.People would call some Nintendo games kiddy but not the SNES itself. Only the most braindead gamer would try to call Contra, Mortal Kombat, Final Fantasy, Chrono Trigger, Zelda, Metroid etc, kiddy. You'd be laughed at (at least in my circle of friends) if you tried to dismiss all those great games.
The SNES legacy lives on, it regularly fights PS1 and PS2 for 1st place in "Greatest Console Ever" lists. Sorry it doesn't fit your theory, but it's a fact: when Nintendo get 3rd party games, gamers love them for it.

Exactly. It happened with... Bayonetta 2 (Wii U) Resident Evil 4 (GameCube)- ported to PS2 No More Heroes 1 and 2 (Wii)- first game ported to PS3/360, second never will Goldeneye 007 Remake (Wii)- ported to PS3/360 Tatsunoko vs Capcom (Wii) The only time I DON'T recall anyone caring about them having exclusive third party support was when Acclaim published Extreme G and Turok on N64, or when SEGA/Sonic Team and Tt games respectively develop an exclusive Sonic (Colors) or LEGO (LEGO City Undercover). Even Star Wars fans didn't care that the Rogue Squadron games were (for the most part as only the first game was ported to PC) exclusive to Nintendo consoles, mainly the GameCube. Also loco, I never said Nintendo needed that "kiddy" image. All I said is that they have been cursed with it ever since they started consoles. There's even an article lying around somewhere stating that SEGA Genesis/MegaDrive was consider the "grown-up" console compared to the SNES. What does that tell you?nintendoboy16
You're forgetting Monster Hunter Tri.
People are STILL Raging that Capcom is putting the Successors on Nintendo Systems and not Playstation Systems.
Dragon Quest? No outcry, even though Dragon Quest 7 and 8 were on Sony Platforms.

You know, that's the type of games they*do* need.
However, I must say that those games should be 2D games.
3D graphics did *not* make them better, imo.
