I guess it's because Nintendo was keeping the a huge secret and didn't want anyone to know about the Wiimote at the time. Plus I guess the code-name Revolution gave a lot of people so much hope that Nintendo wants to be number 1 again. It's happening again with the code-name NX.

Yeah keep hope alive for a company with one foot in the grave and the worst selling console in history (besides the DC that had a much better game list and better tech) makes sense.

The Wii U has sold 13 million units, which is horrific, but not even close to being the lowest selling console in history.

The Sega Saturn, the Sega Dreamcast, the Sega Master System, the Atari 5200, the Atari 7200, the Atari Jaguar, the Turbo-Grafx 16, the CDi, the Odyssey, the Intellivision, the 3D0... f*ck, the Wii U wouldn't even make it into a Top 10 worst selling consoles list.

Blind, uninformed hating only makes not taking you seriously easier. You have problems with Nintendo or the Wii U, there are actual legitimate factually indisputable points you could have gone with, instead of going with something so obviously untrue it just makes your entire point easy to ignore.

People only have to themselves to blame. They are the one with high hopes, hyping the **** out something that still don't exist.

Nintendo wil be Nintendo, they'll do whatever they want just like Apple whatever they want and the consumers buys them anyway.

Also Nintendo is already branching on other stuff, also Nintendo has more than 100 years, if they find a better niche to exploit they will do it.

Now, accept the next Nintendo consol for what it is without the expectation it will be a PS5

Didn't goggle and I am not 50 years old so I had no idea these consoles even existed. You call it hate I call it truth anybody with numbers that low is doomed. The ps4 is almost at 40 million and even the VR is doing good. Yet I often hear people talking positive about nintendo like they are laz about to rise from the dead or some shit lolz. Stop giving false hope to these fools like you Jessie Jackson OG keep it 100.

@spicymeatball27: I dont know about you, but i cant wait for the next rumor. I enjoy it everytime with Smash, etc, the hype never gets old. Sure it gets your hopes up like crazy, but thats all part of the thrill.

@Coco_pierrot: the problem is nobody bought a wiiu, so yeah there is a ton of high hopes for this console.

I am not surprised.

But am somewhat disappointed as well, because a similar device, but with more physical buttons, would be something I would expect from the NX for a controller/console that looks to bridge the gap between handheld and console.

I did consider it far more likely that Nintendo were making more gimmicky garbage, rather than elaborate 3D printed hoaxes.

Good to be wrong! I almost certianly won't be getting NX but the fans who are deserve something better than that fake.
