Nintendo of America drops plans for Devil's Third US release

Basically key NoA guys have no faith in the game, and they aren't going to bring it over to the west.

Can't I say I'm shocked, because yo this game always looked sloppy. Only reason I believed is because I like Itagaki, and Ninja Gaiden 1/Black and Ninja Gaiden 2 are badass games. Plus I remember having fun with Dead or Alive 2-4.

Still though this game's development hell was kind of crazy. Pairing up with THQ and then THQ goes out of business, 4 engine changes because of one engine company going out of business, and then the issues with THQ for the other 2. Only to end up with Nintendo taking a shot, and well that's that.

Either way Valhalla after this will be shifting to mobile games for a good while before they ever make a run at a triple A game ever again, which is a shame as Japanese gaming is seriously looking like just Atlus, From Software, Platinum Games, and Nintendo I guess. Itagaki's run begins at Dead or Alive and ends at Ninja Gaiden ; {

At the least some of that whole Nintendo polish when Nintendo is a pub nonsense should get cut the **** out. Because Bayonetta and The Wonderful 101 are legit because of Platinum, not Nintendo.

I'm not surprised. The game didn't look good last year (it had potential but clearly the game wasn't close to being ready).

It never looked good to begin with. the first teaser in 2009? it looked like something fresh. but after all the development trouble it went through and the re-reveal, so yeah i don't blame them. it looks like crap now.

lol WiiU has like only 5-6 (potentially ok) games coming out for it and they cut one out the list.... It boggles my mind. They don't really care about their fans.

Even if it works, will they make more than 30 copies? or will they give exclusivity to GS? >:3

If this game actually looked to have any degree of quality, I might hold this against NoA. As is, looks like a good call to me.

It's a shitty pile of a mess. I don't see why would Nintendo have it graced on the WiiU. Sure, the console needs games, but not garbage like this.

Welllll ****. Even if the game did look meh, I still wanted to see if it was worth playing. And I was also hoping that it may serve as a spring board for something better.

If the game is not being released in NA because it is a terrible game, then that's good I guess. Duke Nukem Forever is still around if you're into terrible games.

It says that its a rumor on other sites. Even if this is true, I couldn't care less. I thought it didn't look all that great for the get go.

Kinda sad the Wii U is losing one of it's few games, but sadly this game just looked rough, I really like Ninja Gaiden 1/2 so I wanted to like this, but I just couldn't find anything great from what they showed

Good. Nintendo is losing money and the Wii U is on its way out anyway. There is 0 reason for them to bring this title which most assuredly will fail miserably.

I can see xseed or even Nisa picking it up. Side note I kind of liked the orginal character designs more.

I still have hope it will be brought over through a 3rd party publisher. Ninja Gaiden 3 Razors Edge is a great example, published by Tecmo-Koei on 360 and ps3 while published by Nintendo for Wii U. I could see something similar happening. Obviously it isn't the same deal as it is a Nintendo IP, but I am hopeful.

Wow, not even digital only? Fail. Sony should have got this game for vita lol. Even they would have at least had a digital release despite the vita being a flop.

@Epak_: Its getting release in Japan, EU & AU though. Wouldn't trust Reggie game's taste anyway, he didn't want Disaster: Day of Crisis & I enjoyed it & no Fatal Frame 2 Crimson Butterfly (Wii).. Also wasn't he the guy that didn't want to bring Xenoblade Chronicles to US. :P
