@hardwenzen: 2022 is packed. You have Pokémon, Splatoon, No more heroes, maybe bayonetta, maybe Zelda-and the Square Enix game. Plus you know Nintendo is gonna milk us with more of the lazy remakes we love to buy. It’s gonna be an epic year.
This means absolutely nothing.
Unveiling the name and logo of Breath of the Wild 2 is nothing that would be shown in a stupid quickie like this.

Having a hard time damage controlling i see🙃

MS/Xbox says...

Pokemon looks like the new definition of laziness. Absolutely mediocre showing from Nintendo. Splatoon is a niche game people talk about when the game is coming out, but nobody actually plays it for more than 5 hours. If Nintendo had proper shooters, this game would be unknown. What Zelda are you talking about? Is Zelda SS that's coming out soon is what excites you? lol. Not too sure which Square title you're referring to. And you gotta be high to think that Bayonetta has any chances of coming out next year or even the year after.

They'll release something big next year whether it be Prime 4, BOTW2, something out of left field that we know nothing out, or a combination of them, and the Pokemon game you are talking about will outsell every Sony PS5 game. Hell, the Zelda SS port probably will too. 😂

They're not releasing a revision in 2023. It'll be a new console with a terrible name, terrible marketing, it's own separate online subscription with one N64 game a year as a selling point to justify a higher price, still weaker than base PS4, no BC, and a $400 price tag.

You're always talking about sales as a way to damage control your mediocre titles. Yes, that mediocre looking pokemon game will outsell masterpieces such as Elden Ring. So? Who wants to play this garbage? Only kids and the ones that are stuck with nothing else but those trashy games🤣
This thread is a typical System Wars circle jerk.
Nintendo hasn't announced the title or logo of BOTW2, so it isn't going to appear on the list.
As for the rest of the list, there's a lot of good purchases there. Certainly enough new releases to keep anyone busy for the next 6-12 months.

Now you're raging at Nintendo. STOP. They will not release it with a terrible name, nor will it have terrible marketing. It will be very successful at ripping off their fans. The system will be less powerful than even the original Xbone, but Nintendo fans don't care about visuals or stable frames, so that's not an issue. In other words, what you're getting now, is what you'll get in two years. If you thought that current visuals are trash, you just wait to see how they'll feel in 2023 when UE5 games will be a thing. Same with frames. The other two will have 60fps in pretty much every title, while the Switch 2 will be running between 17-30fps.
@Planeforger: Yeah that is very much true about Breath of the Wild 2 not even being the official title for the game. Definitely makes sense that they would put that on there until they actually reveal the official name and all. I totally forgot about that myself.
There’s quite a few games that I’m looking forward to getting that are coming out in the next little while as well. I’ve been more then happy with the Switch and will continue to be no matter how things transpire in the next couple of years be that a “Pro” model or just straight up a Switch 2.
[Looks at that list of games] The only one I'm going to give the time of day to is Metroid Dread. I don't think I got a bigger load of buyers remorse from a game system than the Switch. The rest of that is the worst versions of third party games, ports and Pokemon hell. I literally bought this system to get BotW2 and Metroid Prime 4. One is even further away than expected and the other is STILL vaporware. Holy shit.
release dates are silly
a relic of an era when games had to come out on physical media. Imagine having to coordinate with retailers and put data on carts months before the game is set to release, even tho you are still updating it only to require users to redownload a lot of it. lmao

That sucks. I mean, personally I'm drowning in a backlog of good games and wouldn't mind. But a lot of people are looking forward to this asap

Who was competing with Wii that forced them to make a Fisher Price tablet controller that they couldn't even sell it separately because it was too expensive? You're over-estimating Nintendo. If they were smart enough to just stick with what works, they would have released Wii 2 with improved motion controls for $250 and we wouldn't be having this conversation because Wii 3 and DS 3 would have released last year.
I'm not taking this as an official delay, that'd be incredibly stupid when they JUST SAID 2022. However I wouldn't be surprised if a delay does happen.
This can be easily explained because of a lack of an official title and an official logo (that I know of). Had these two been present they would put in the 2022 section and after a delay they can just sneak it into 2023.
This is no confirmation of anything to me.

Waggle died. Nintendo had to come up with something new. Mobile didn't die, and they have no competition in that space, so there's no reason for them to come up with anything but a new and slightly improved hardware. Shit's gonna sell on its own, from the hype alone. You add in the fact that botw2 is a launch title, and its a guaranteed success (not to mention other titles that Nintendo is most certainly refusing to releasing on the Switch and instead keeps em for the launch of the Switch 2 or whatever itll be called).
Taking this as official confirmation of delay is incredibly stupid, are you also taking this as confirmation that Nintendo only has 4 games coming in 2022? No, they're just showing off titled games as a list, of which the BOTW sequel is holding it's title and logo tight to the chest so of course they wouldn't include it here.
@hardwenzen: Doug Bowser's comment debunking Switch Pro also implied they were looking for a new gimmick. Probably Labo but with cheap plastic this time or something.
Here's an idea. They include an amiibo with every game. Said amiibo unlocks artifially locked content and AND AAAAND (the juicy part) this fisher price toy serves as a key to the game, like a key to a car. Without it, you can't play the game😁And btw, because the toy is included with the game, the price is increased to $80. They sold you cardboard, so don't think for a second they're not willing to go further😂its nintendo afterall.
I keep telling you, this game is not releasing until the new system. They are going to repeat what they did with the Switch (also the Wii) and make it a launch game.
"And circle gets the square." I prefer them to avoid cross-gen, but I doubt they'll delay so much as to not release on Switch.
I figure Metroid Prime 4 is for sure being pushed onto the next system, and will not be cross-gen.

It is coming to the Switch, at the same time as the follow up to the Switch.
The first BotW is an extremely overrated game in my opinion.
Does that mean that I won't get the 2nd one? Probably not since I have traditionally gotten most new Zelda games over the years. Just because the 1st one wasn't necessarily for me doesn't mean I won't love the 2nd one. Either way it appears you can add this game to the long list of others on the other consoles that are a long way off and no release date. It appears the gens will start halfway through the gen after all.
@hardwenzen: Yeah, hopefully Switch 2 flops hard due to no games and no BC so it comes to PC soon after.
@mesome713: This was posted after E3, so plans changed.
I keep telling you, this game is not releasing until the new system. They are going to repeat what they did with the Switch (also the Wii) and make it a launch game.
This. Lol at people acting like this is not obvious.
With Metroid and SMT V and Pokemon it makes Nintendo's 2021 line up automatically better than both Sony and Microsoft.

Returnal, R&C, Horizon, Kena and Ghost of Ikishima take a giant dump on Nintendo's putrid lineup.
Honestly, call me a stupid sheep or whatever, but I think y'all are overreacting. Y'all really think this is the worst console, when it's literally Nintendo's top 5 system, INCLUDING HANDHELDS. We have: Minecraft, Diablo II and III, Overwatch, The Witcher, Apex Legends, Fortnite, Rocket League, Doom Eternal, Monster Hunter, Mortal Kombat 11, Saints Row, NBA2K, Fifa, Astral Chain, Marvel Ultimate Alliance, plus we're getting great exclusive games and indies which includes prior handheld exclusive games as well. Those games were NEVER on the Wii U, GameCube, or even the N64. We've literally gotten Monster Hunter Rise and Apex Legends like a few months ago. In two weeks, we're getting Monster Hunter Stories 2. This year we're getting a proper sequel to 2D Metroid, we're getting Pokemon Diamond and Pearl Remakes, which fans have been begging for since the 3DS era (I know I have). We're getting Splatoon 3 next year and Pokemon Legends: Arceus.
The only disappointing thing is no news on Metroid Prime 4 and Bayonetta 3, seriously we should at least have a trailer by now... Also, Zelda BOTW is getting delayed. I have a bad feeling they're going to delay it for the next system like they did with the Wii U and Switch. It worked for the Switch, so why not the Switch 2? Other than that, the system is fine. Y'all overreact too much.
[Looks at that list of games] The only one I'm going to give the time of day to is Metroid Dread. I don't think I got a bigger load of buyers remorse from a game system than the Switch. Bro, it's one delayed game. Calm down. If you want to look at bad Nintendo systems, look at the Wii U and GameCube. Not even the Wii and N64 are as good as the Switch. The Switch has plenty of third party support and great exclusives. The Switch has yet to experience an extreme drought, like they did with the GameCube and Wii U. The system, while having some mild disappointment, is doing very well overall.

I can't say I'm a Pokemon fan but it helps fund masterclass games like BOTW 2, Bowsers Fury, Smash, Dread and Prime 4 so I'm on board.
Also the Pokemon company makes these games, they are a seperate entity from Nintendo, although partially owned by them. It's not exactly Nintendo EAD studios.
@casey-wegner: What? Pokemon is not needed to fund the flagship title from Nintendo lol. And its not like Nintendo doesn't have the cash. Not to mention that their games must be so much cheaper to produce when compared to AAA from the big boys.

Pokemon sells millions of Switches, and more Switches the sell, the more games we get, all around, that's from Nintendo, Indie or third parties.

Yea, and those games are 90% old ports with barely any upgrades at all. Pokemon does that sick funding btw.
