Nintendo stock drops after E3

I dont have a Pro. The games on my launch PS4 still look amazing. The Switch however, is a 9th gen console that still cant render at 1080p

I love not being a fanboy. I can enjoy Project Octopath Traveler for the Switch Next month, and then in September enjoy Dragon Quest 11 for Ps4 Pro. Life is good when you do not need to worry about strawman arguments against ether system.

Digital Foundry said Fortnite Switch drops to 320p in handheld mode.

DF also said not even the pro or X can run the game at 60fps without dips.

It is a bit worrying to see, but people overreact so much. The other two major consoles had mostly only ports the first 2 years. Give the console some time and remember that we got two of the most critically aclaimed games in the first year. Also almost everyone forgets two important points. First the casual appeal of some games like pokemon. Second the fact that most people who will buy a console in the holiday season still look back to botw and mario as new games they haven't played yet.

I am not saying their E3 was amazing. It was very lackluster (even though I personally love the games being released in the next couple of months). However don't judge the whole console from one NINTENDO DIRECT. Yes it was just one direct and many will follow.

And yet, all the third party developers still want to make games for those two consoles. At E3, you didn't see many announcements of them including a Switch version.

Switch's lagging hardware will be more of a problem than X1X and PS4/Pro's problems these next few years until the end of the generation.

not every game can be ported to a handheld.

i'd say the amount of games coming to switch is great. its missing a lot of the bigger AAA games but still nice.

E3 was a big disappointement. The only game that was remotely interesting was REmake2.

As for the Switch. They put out some stuff that interest me like Octopath Traveler. On PS4 I may play God Of War Viking Daddy edition once it is worth nothing at EB game otherwise nothing interest me on PS4 anymore. I got kind of fed up of movie games, they are very shallow.

If I look back at everything that I played on PS4, I would say that Bloodborne, Persona 5 and Horizon Zero Dawn were the three game that I still have good memories.

Switch has been deemed a FLOP by the financial community. Even the most staunch Nintedno supporters know that. I bet they can wait for Red Dead Redemption 2 to come to switch(lol). RockStar, arguably the biggest publisher in video games doesn't give a **** about Nintendo..lol

I've gotta say, I really do think Nintendo should leave the console and handheld business and become a third-party.

They make some pretty great games here and there, the Breath of the Wilds and Odysseys, the main series Fire Emblems... But then they have these huge, awkward stumbles...

How do we go from big, console Pokemon game announced for the Switch to "Here's that Pokemon Yellow remake we know you wanted, complete with dated graphics!"?

The Switch itself turned out to be a joke. Its gimmick is that it's portable, but the battery life is atrocious. The thing has a library composed mostly of ports of games from a few years ago. Nevermind that the 360's online service in 2008 was lightyears better than what the Switch currently has.

If Nintendo just made games for Microsoft and Sony, imagine how much less fluff there would be?

The Switch is and will always be success. they are not messing that up. As far as Stock goes...well, Nintendo still doesn't take E3 seriously. Investors were expecting some epic announcements and it didn't happen. Stocks will come up slowly with the Nintendo directs again but they did mess up this years E3

Just buy a 2DS if you want to play Nintendo games that much. They're practically giving that sucker away. You can literally get a New Super Mario Bros. bundle or Mario Kart bundle for $80. Plus their games are discounted anyway.

The first party was seriously lacking this E3, the next three games I'm going to buy are 3rd party games. Crash, Wolfenstein 2 (IF the port is on par with DOOM at least) and Dark Souls.

Nintendo continues to be a joke. Overcharging for weak hardware that isn't powerful enough to run most 3rd party games. They're about to start charging for a bare bones online service. They have even gotten lazy within their own first party studios by only porting over WiiU games to Switch instead of making new games.

Mark my words if Nintendo games go 3rd party they will sell x2 more. I know i would be one of buyers for games like Zelda, 100%. Or if Nintendo finally provide far cheaper, more appealing prices for all their products and games, theyll do far better. To give 350euros ( $400 or more i guess ) for Switch is a big nono for me whatever the case and games. But if it had 200euros ( $250 ) i would have considered to buy it and be able to play those 4-5 games i like ( because i dont like more than that per gen ) than end up renting. Nintendo has a cheap system for Nintendo exclusives, it's called the 2DS. There are Mario and Mario Kart bundles for $80 right now with cheaper games. It plays the same games as the Wii U. Well 3DS games, but they pretty much have the same games as the Wii U plus more with third party support.

Why would they go third party? People who want their games can get them. The 3DS was selling like hot cakes at one point, and now the Switch is selling like crazy. Why would they focus on one person, who probably only care for Zelda and Metroid, when they can convince Mario and Pokemon fans to buy a whole console? That makes no sense.

If you're tired of Mario, then don't buy Mario games. It's simple. Why would you buy a console that you hate? I don't like the Xbox One, so I don't have one. It's really simple. I'm sure millions of other people will continue to buy Nintendo exclusives, so you're not really needed.

N64 : 34M -- GC 23M -- Wii U 13M ( im not sure if those numbers are precise but for sure are close, lazy to search ) with Wii being a success for entirely other reasons than Nintendo exclusives alone and Switch seems is one of the same. So think about it, can Nintendo convince enough people to buy a console based on their games alone? Because numbers showing they cant. They need to provide something different or catchy or gimmicky to lure in more people ... Now is Switch, not your traditional console that already surpassed Wii U.
