[QUOTE="too_much_eslim"][QUOTE="LittleHands134"] It'll be a ridiculously easy game that holds your hand throughout the entire thing. Just like every other casual title.ShinobishyguyTP was the easiest Zelda game I ever played. If they decide to make it even easier and get rid all the tough puzzles completely I will never buy a Nintendo console again. We must've not played the same game...because Wind waker was easier than TP. And whats with the notion that a game must be hard to be good? It helps but it's not a requirement.
I've played plenty of good easy games and crap hard games
I had fun though with WW and they didn't strip gameplay mechanics from WW. I never complained about that game so it didn't bother me. TP however was terrible. Also there were at least decent puzzles in WW. I can't say teh same for TP.Zelda is pretty much already dead. The last great Zelda game was 8 years ago - Majora's Mask. That game was fresh, dark, and innovative, and they took a serious chance changing things around, and it worked. However, ever since then, the series has become very stale, boring and formulaic. The hardcore Nintendo fanboys are to blame for this, because they want the same thing over and over, and any change or improvements they riot against. "ZOMG ACTUAL DIALOGUE INSTEAD OF TEXT? BLASPHEMY!" - for example. GinoNYCtoo true. remember how sonic fanboys reacted to the werehog?
[QUOTE="Skittles_McGee"][QUOTE="joesh89"]I disagree. Wind Waker was really easy. I never even had to heal in that game. I did have to heal myself once or twice in TP though.remember that ball and chian minniboss? I didn't expect to take off 6 hearts with one hit. honestly I can't remeber that boss. The only time I died was when I faced the guy that changed the levels everytime you weakened him. And i only died in the first stage because I didn't realise i was supposed to use my boomerangi dont agree, wind waker was much more challenging then Twilight princess.

I have no respect left from Nintendo. They're not satisfied with just milking franchises anymore. Now, they feel like they have to defile them. If a casual Zelda game isn't enough to raise the red flag that Nintendo has abandoned the core gamer, I don't know what would be.Timstuffshould have seen it coming with that Zelda crossbow training game.
 That doesn't mean anything.
Did anyone think the next Zelda wasn't going to be accessible? Like every other game in the series?
i dont agree, wind waker was much more challenging then Twilight princess. joesh89
When was the last time you played through either of them?
I played through WW and TP again, in parallel, just a few months ago, and TP was far more difficult, in both the combat and the puzzles.
Give them another go, side by side, and you'll see what I'm talking about.

Yeah me too. I probaly need to play wind waker again.what if you told the final fantasy gamers that there next installment would be casual ? hmm.....joesh89
They'd probably whine, but Zelda fans are much more mature than FF fans.
*farts in the general direction of all FF fans*
Could be more casual... does not necessarily "casual confirmed".
All that stuff looked fake, but believable. Oh well, I'll wait till god himself, Miyamoto, announces to the world his new brain child.

BTW, this is all rumor.
DaSorcerer77
yeah, the new prince of Persia really ticks me off. The great thing that PoP games were known for were ridiculously hard puzzles and other challenges, its what made the game so great. The new one is easy, it is the perfect example of casual takeover.

Woah what? They got rid of the challenging puzzles?I disagree. Wind Waker was really easy. I never even had to heal in that game. I did have to heal myself once or twice in TP though.Skittles_McGee
I think if anything, Zelda games should be made more challenging. I've enjoyed all the games, but I can seriously go through them in a day or two max. Even the new "50 floors of increasing difficulty" style dungeons are ridiculously easy.
i love how moste people are not even reading the link and just taking the TC title/op as gods word. there is nothing here to whine cry or bash on about
Ok, how could anyone take this seriously, we know absolutely nothing about the game except that its in development. period.DaSorcerer77Exactly.
nintendo wont kill zelda, to me nintendo are already dead. i will never purchase a nintendo product ever again. my heart has been broken. the void in my life is nintendo. im gonna just pretend its 1999 again, play my n64 and look forward to the upcoming dolphin.joesh89calm down drama queen. All of the stuff on that page is nothing but speculation
i doubt they'd make it casual, in what way could you make zelda casual, it's already accessible to all, you have to be stupid to not know how to waggle a remote and move the control stick about. The controls are the only thing that could be made slightly easier, but i think they are one of the most accessible about. The only way to make it casual is to completely destroy the gameplay, and make the puzzles etc. absolutely basic.http://monstervine.com/exclusive-the-next-zelda-what-we-know-so-far/
Here's some information about the new Zelda game, I'll take out the highlight from the article.
"New Zelda could go casual"
Thanks again for killing yet another of my favorite series, Nintendo.

Not to mention that you ignored all of the good predictions in that article. There's no doubt that most of us want them to keep Zelda challenging. That's a given. If Nintendo will give us what we want is the question.
accessible =/= casual
Shinobishyguy
Yea that's what Prince of Persia said as well.
Zelda is the sole reason I buy Nintendo's console every generation, so while I may not be the equivalent of 10 soccer moms, my 20 year support for Nintendo would come to a crashing hault if they ruin Zelda.
i hope nintendo gives link a voice. i know lots of people think it will be bad but after a few gaems everyone wil get used to it
