>>no 360 game can beat the cars realisim and detail of GT5
I'm quite sure you meant to write 'detail' only and not realism. Because in realism Forza 2 seems to be winning hands down if GT HD is an indication of how GT5 will be.

and you just go along with everything gamespot says because they write reviews do you?
i guess we'll just have to disagree. or settle our difference on the racetrack! with damage off of course...
who needs damage when you have in car view not even looking at the car...

Oh man, I almost fell out of my chair!
sorry, but where was i 'owned'? i seem to remember giving you a very reasonable agrument and you proved yourself, by conveniently including an extract from the gt4 review, that gamespot didn't call gran turismo 4 a bumper car sim. they merely said you can use that as a tactic to cheaply overtake people.
surely a bumper car sim would feature bumper cars and take place at some kind of fairground?

fair enough. your extremely long quote chain made it look like the ownedness was being pointed at me. so are we going to settle our differences on the track?
Is it just a left turn racing sim? If so, I don't care. Otherwise, so jealous.manningbowl135
Nah that is Nascar, they can only turn left, must be an inbred thing methinks
Seriously Forza 2 is a racing sim, Gran Turismo has always been a rally game with both dirt and road courses. I hope the customization and tuning features in GT5 are as good as they were in GT4.

will definately add you to my friends listso we can race lata.8)
wow the fanboyisim is disgusting in this thread.... All you lemmings totally changed the subject to avoid it like the plauge.
GT5 = best looking sim racing game to date, and Forza 2 does not come close period, and the game is still in development, and can become even better. Lemming fanboy's in this thead = owned for trying to change the topic. And I agree with the TC, GT5 looks better than anything currently available on the 360, and prolly anything in the works, as do alot of the PS3 exclusives.
Lemmings have been in dmg control mode ever since E3, its getting sad now.
all forza's selling points focus on the things that have been lacking in gran turismo. ie damage, online, car painting, ferraris etc. but comparing gran turismo 4 and forza 2, gran turismo has more cars, tracks andraces which, at the end of the day, a racing game should be all about. the locales of gran turismo are much more beautiful than forza's dull surroundings.my_name_is_ron
I'm wondering if you're looking at the same game. Yes, the car models look better in GT5, but thetrack surroundingslook like total ass compared to Forza 2.
No damage physics, and thats realistic game to cows??
So if GT5 encourages sloppy driving, than cows must be the most dangerous drivers on the planet....lol:o (Scary)
Cows driving tactics 101:
*Dont worry, I'll just pass him up on the curve at 140 mph, and if I crash, nothing will happen to me or my car!*
Are you still going on about the shiny cars? There's no damage control in this thread, no one is denying it's got impressive graphics, it's just most people here are interested in more then just looking at the pretty cars. GT5 will probably play no different from GT4, GT3, GT2 or GT1. It's not changed other then in graphics, and it's really getting outdated now. Add some damage to the cars already.wow the fanboyisim is disgusting in this thread.... All you lemmings totally changed the subject to avoid it like the plauge.

Actually a funny comment was from one cow saying Forza 2 is just an arcade racer ad GT is the best and most realistic racer there is. Only in real life, cars are not invincible, which kinda makes his claim a bit moot.
hmmm... does forza 2 have 20 person online play and in car view? HAHAHAHHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHA NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!Arsenal325
It's 16 player online and I believe Forza 2 has in car view. I can't remember, as I never play it in that view. If you have 16 players online the game is going to have so much lag it isn't funny. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!

Oh btw, Resistance has 40 players with no lag, Warhawk has 32 players with no lag, etc etc so you fail.
so it turns from a graphic post to a "bu bu bu bu forza gots teh damage!!111"
as usual when lemmings are losing they change the subject. go back to your arcade racer

It's not a graphics post, it's a details and realism post, like it says in the title.
Damage = realism.

You just lost the little credibility you had left right there. People will always argue which game has better physics between Forza and GT but the fact is they are pretty damn close and to call Forza 2 arcady is just downright stupid. Personally I feel that in Forza you feel the power/torque and the weight of your car alot more than you do in GT while GT has better traction models.
If you really cared about driving physics and driving feel you'd be playing GTR/2 right now, not GT.

not at all. no damage modelling = not such a massive loss when you consider the main aspect of the game is trying to avoid crashing. if you simply play forza to plough into opponents and watch bumpers fall off then you're not really playing the game as it was intended. crash damage becomes a frustrating chore after cooing at the first few collisions you experience
GT4 ReviewThe Bad
"Bumper car racing, so called because you use the artificially intelligent opponent cars as "bumpers" to scrub off speed and help position your car around tight turns, is alive and well in GT4. Heading too fast into right-hand turn one at Tokyo Route 246? Simply dive to the inside of the car in front of you, and watch in amazement as you not only make it around the curve unscathed, but also likely gain a position doing so."
Even Gamespot called GT a bumper car sim..lolol

I agree GT5 has the best graphics (in terms of car games) hands down. As long as there are no downgrades as GT:HD only had 1 car and GT5 will only have 16 i think? I believe the gameplay and tracks will be good as always like previous GT installments. The only down fall of GT5 is the backgrounds of the tracks which look 2D and of course damage. Some of you cows and the most ridiculous logic claiming damage is not needed because you are not suppose to intentionally crash well duh? accidents do happen! Cows saying that GT makes you a better driver so you won't crash. Seriously these fanboyish commentshave got to stop. Whether or not damage is or is not accurate is better than no damage at all. But just because GT might not have damage does not mean it will turn out to be a flop because I'm sure it will be great. So Cows just stop with the ignorate comments that damage is not needed because you are pro drivers who never crash!

i went to my friends to played forza2 and and beat every match i played..its too easy... GT actually takes skill.. go play GT:HD.. see how well you drift..lol

GTR2 i got for pc ages ago will be far better than GT5, but its not really fair to compare sims(GTR) to arcade(GT)
Honestly, i don't know why console fanboys care so much about graphics, cows are bragging about GT5 looking like real life and all this other BS but all i can say is calm the **** down!! Not only is GT5 far from the most technically demanding game on a console it also cant be compared to pc games for the last few years and definitely not Crysis. And TC, Forza 2 owns GT5 when it comes to car realisim...michael098
rofl how can u say that wen gt5 is couple years from release? all uve seen was the gt 5 prolouge which is a gt5 hardly finished, i just cant believe u just said that forza 2 owns gt5 in realism this early LOLLLLL
