..Shadow Of The Colossus, honestly, that game was so amazing, now all people seem to brag about is FPS or games with AMAZING GRAPHICS! It gets even worse by people comparing sales and the usual boring threads like HALO VS KILLZONE or 360 VS PS3 in EXCLUSIVES!, you all need to play SOTC and understand that games arent all about GRAPHICS or SALES.

SOTC

The most overrated game I've ever played in my entire life. Speaking of epicness, I thought GoW1 & 2 were more epic.

"As a lone horseback traveller, your destiny is entwined with that of a lifeless young girl who lies on an altar within a vast temple. The girl is helpless, her soul has been lost and there is only one way to retrieve it

Following a voice from the heavens, you embark on a dark and dangerous quest to seek out and slay the enormous wandering monsters that roam this strange world. Only you can defeat these formidable Colossi, and in doing so, only you can bring life to the girl who lies waiting on the altar.

Each beast is immense in size and strength, the team's new and unique motion control system giving an incredible depth of motion density. The 'Organic Collision Deformation' system enables the player to grasp and climb the Colossi with precision, stealth is also essential in navigating these ever changing, moving and dangerous terrains. You must climb these terrifying beasts and strike the deathblow that will bring them crashing to the ground. However, slaying such fearsome opponents is no easy task before these enemies can be toppled, you must first discover how to defeat them. And the challenge does not end there; after you have slain one monster you must begin the demanding task of finding the next&

The monsters in Shadow of the Colossus present the game player with one epic terrain but another is the world they inhabit. With only your trusty horse, Agro, for company, you must explore lonely plains, mountains, lush countrysides, sinister lakes, great caves and ancient ruins. Each Colossi is unique, organically reflecting the environment in which they reside. Each one you track down takes you one step closer to discovering your destiny and the fate of the girl who remains motionless and oblivious throughout.

An intense journey of exploration, puzzle solving and eerie battle, Shadow of the Colossus also includes the distinct, highly-acclaimed graphic ****that came to prominence in ICO, making this an absorbing voyage of discovery with some of the most picturesque landscapes and formidable enemies ever to be seen on PlayStation 2."

it's about a person who is finding the galluses monster things. ur weapons are bow and a sword. u ride a horse. the monsters are just great and seem like they are really huge. u need to find a special place where u kill the monster. that is really all i remember of the game. but it was truly a great game i have to say it had the best looking game on the ps2.

there are loads of colossus's,and each one of them in a MOVING level as you try climbing up it,various platforms while it trys to shrug you off etc, untill you finds its weak point.the game is not like any other. It seems to me you just want a game with a horde of enemies, then your better off with mindless shooting games.this game is not for you.

LOL You should really try it tho, if u still have a ps2 a PS3 with BC, the game is truly inspiring.

100 EuroGamer

It's a masterfully understated, beautifully simple, engrossing ride that's as palpitatingly thrilling as it is serenely calming. It's also one of the most consistently compelling and memorable games we've ever played (or witnessed, for that matter).

97 IGN

A true masterpiece in terms of art direction and, dare I say, cinematography. From the fights with the colossi to exploring the world to basically just standing back and letting it all soak in, Shadow of the Colossus is an amazing experience and an absolute must-have title.

95 1UP

It's a game that dares you to exhilarate while hammering you with consequence. In short, Shadow of the Colossus breaks storytelling barriers none of us knew existed. It's the rare game for which the often overused words "ground-breaking" were truly reserved for, and it's enough to make you regret every stupid coin you ever collected.

90 GamePro

As a genre bending title that straddles the divisions between action, fantasy, adventure and puzzle games, Shadow of the Colossus pulls off a titanic feat by creating an immersive and highly entertaining experience that doesn't collapse under the significant weight of its own lofty ambitions.

87 GameSpot

The game's fighting and pacing are in stark contrast to those of typical action games, but with a little patience and a taste for high-concept adventure, you'll find an experience here that's unlike any other.

-

Gamespot's review should make it easy for you to see on what side of the fence your on, I'm much more into artsy games so the game was just striking.

Don't worry, you're not missing out on much. Sub-par game and this applies to ICO as well. And no, I didn't start gaming on the Xbox. I think the content of the message should be changed to "No game still matches the sleep inducing power of..."soulsofblayck

yeah and Perfect dark Zero,Just Cause,Splinter cell D A,Prey, and lost planet are not sub par games right?
