No more $60 games!!!!!!!! Games to get cheaper!!!!!! GOD I hope so

i'll be really frank.....i really don't care what others pay outside the states.....i'm sure the eggheads at nintendo, sony and ms ran the numbers and figured europeans, aussies and the japanese are totally fine with paying higher prices....and by the attitudes of some of the previous posts many of you have just accepted that as your reality.....fine....in america if we think it's worth it we'll pay if not we don't pay.....period.......i for one have only paid $60 for a game twice....gta4 (which i regret doing now) and obivion the game of year edition (which i did not regret). i have all last gen and next gen systems......all other games purchased have been used and i only use coupons (CAG for those who are really in the know).

the problem is not charging $60 for games like dead space, gta4, falout3, orange box, valkyria chronicles or little big planet. the problem is charging $60 for viking, conan, mercenaries 2, nfl tour, bladestorm, and all movie tie in games. and critics want to tell me and gamers like me that i'm the problem. i mean isn't this the real crime here? charging full price for crappy games? and then releasing them with bugs is the ulitimate in insults.....i'm playing merc 2 now on my 360 and the bugs are ridiculous....i'm happy to say that i bought it used and for less that 20 bucks thanks to coupons....and that's still 10 bucks too generous. i personally don't care if the game is AAA or if God itself (yes i said itself) decided to start a gaming company and make games.....to get a rise out of me you have to talk at least $25 or less.

some would say that i and others like me are the problem with the industry.......they can kiss my arse.....i got bills.

Here in the UK, I've noticed a lot of games being released at £30 - £35 now.

Wow, you're the first person ive seen that realize how good gamers in the US have it. A new ps3 game cost 300$ in my country even if you convert my currency to US it would still be around 115 US per game

I am one of those pre-steam. I am paying as much as you now thanks to it. Except for console games.. I pay around 70-75 us for those.

What province do you live in? The only reason I can imagine it costing that much is if you live in ontario or quebec where PST jacks the price up to that high. Game prices in Canada still start at the base point of $59.99. Here in Alberta(where I happen to reside) theres no PST so games are about $62 bucks.

I sure do hope this comes true because there is no way that GeOW 1.5, Halo 2.5, GTA 4TL, Movie Gear Solid 4 HD(hell blu ray's are only $25, so why is this HD movie $60), Rehash Evil 5, and Unfarted Drakes Fortune for a nearly 2 year old game are all worth $60.

Because Metal Gear solid 4 contains more movie than the lord of the rings trilogy combined? and you also get lots of gameplay aswell, AND a online multiplayer separate game. $60? a bargain imo.

Perhaps, but doesn't that also mean that there is a less chance of people selling their games as they will be getting even less for their 2 week old games? So if less people are selling their games then sales of 2nd hand games will go down as there isn't much to go around and consumers have to buy brand new games then doesn't that mean that the publishers profit? also with a lower price it may sway buyers, who weren't planning to buy the game in the first place, to look into the game?
