A little too late for that, the game sold poorly on the Wii and they should have already sought for a market willing to buy a game like that.Junior_AIN
It's Suda51's best selling game ever.
Fail :P

[QUOTE="rhaigun"]Guess Suda wants his game to actually sell copies.bc1391NMH was his best selling game. It bombed hard in Japan though. The second game is directly aimed to the west. This port looks like an effort from the publisher to make the game more "Japanese friendly" (added Japanese voices!)
Looking at this, it seems like this is intended for Japan only. Nothing too interesting (except the Erotic Portrait thing, what the hell is that supposed to be?.) This could be the game Marvelous mentioned that they were porting from the Wii to the HD systems.[QUOTE="bc1391"]

unconfirmed
-Advance Mode added
-Japanese dubbing added
-Erotic Portrait added
-February 25, 5,800 YenLooks like this is gonna be a port with some extras

Muramasa would have done a much better port.
Muramasa technically makes the most sense to port, but it probably wouldn't fare well. I have a feeling that this won't do well if it doesn't leave Japan. NMH sold like crap there.Very awesome news, but only if this game isn't a port of the Wii game. I would rather they make a completely new game with a new engine to fully take advantage of the hardware. As for spin off well I do not mind it either,if they took this approach just as long as the game is good when it is all say and done.

Who knows when it is coming out of Japan (if its).Huh, funny. I never did play this game. I was actually going to pick it up and give it a whirl on thursday. Nice that 360/PS3 owners might get to try it out. I wouldn't want to try it without motion control, though.
Porting a 2-year-old Wii game that now sells for $20 or less just doesn't sound right. Honestly, the only thing that would be worth it is NMH & NMH2 bundled together with improved graphics.
If the Wii game's graphics were underpar, I can't say HD would make it any better, unless it's a new engine and they show some higher res, and better animations... I admit, I bought NMH and enjoyed it, but it wasn't really as great as many people made it out to be IMHO. The combat system was "MASH A TO WIN!"Dang. Sorry, sheep!
:P
Had to say that since we're in SW's.
This is awesome, though. NMH in HD! :D

Realease it as a downloadable game with Achievement and Trophy support on XBL and PSN. It would sell.
I really did not care for the game. With how many much better action games their are on the PS3/360. I would recommend for any gamer to pick up one of those before you pick up this title. HarlockJC
Listen to this man here, this is literally at the bottom (if at all) on my list of actions games I would want. You got DA, Castlevania, Darksiders, God of war 3, bayonetta etc already coming out..

But they're not going to do that with No More Heroes. If Okami were to be released for the 360 or PS3 in boxed format, I seriously doubt it would sell that many copies, probably a bit more or less than the amount sold on the Wii.Yea...Doubt that would go so well. Its sad that achivements and trophies s are features that would make a game sell better... I heard that Hanna Montana is an easy platinum![QUOTE="-Oath"]
Surprise, It IS a port.
The graphics actuallt look a bit polished.
Seabas989
I was right. I guess this was more of the publishers decision then Suda or maye it's beccause it bombed in Japan so they are making it multiplat.
No More Heroes: Reflex Edition? :P[QUOTE="Seabas989"]

No More Heroes: Reflex Edition? :P As history shows, you only put "Reflex Edition" at the end of a port's title if you have to downgrade the graphics incredibly to even get it to run on the system you're porting the game to. I don't think the 360/PS3 version of No More Heroes will have that problem. "No More Heroes: Doesn't Look Like Crap Anymore Edition" is a title more warranted to games that come to the 360/PS3 from the Wii.[QUOTE="bc1391"]No More Heroes: Reflex Edition? :P As history shows, you only put "Reflex Edition" at the end of a port's title if you have to downgrade the graphics incredibly to even get it to run on the system you're porting the game to. It looks almost identical. Am I the only one who is not impressed?

Its not impressive, but it does look a bit polished, even with the blurry scans.

If it looks identical, that's pretty sad. No More Heroes even looked horrible by Wii standards, and we know how low those are. If the game looks just as bad on the 360/PS3... it's strictly the developers laziness and nothing more.As history shows, you only put "Reflex Edition" at the end of a port's title if you have to downgrade the graphics incredibly to even get it to run on the system you're porting the game to. No I'm not impressed either with the graphics. If it is released in NA, I'd be really surprised if not only it gets higher ratings but if it sold a lot more. I doubt it though.
So much for Suda51 being a Wii-only developer. And so much for the No More Heroes IP being Wii-exclusive.foxhound_fox
So much for you redundantly stating blatantly obvious facts that didn't need to be pointed out just so you could tote your anti-Wii fanboyism with more bravado, only to lessen your credibility even further.....oh wait.
On the topic of the game; I'm interested on how these controls will fair on the HD twins. I think a lot of the charm from this game came from the unique motion controls on the Wii, so we'll see how this goes. If it turns out well I may just give this game another go on my 360.
I miss the days when gamers cared more about gameplay and story than they did about who has the best graphics.
I'm happy for HD consoles owners, assuming this will have a Western release, of course. No More Heroes is a pretty cool game with awesome characters.

Are they sure they can make enough money off HD console owners? I'm not sure NMH would sell anymore on 360 and PS3 individually then it did on wii
wii version sold just under half a million (450k) so i'd think this isn't a new game, and is a port of the first one. i mean, marevlous is small i doubt they are working on this and all their other games at the same time
I wonder if the PS3 or 360 versions can individually outsell the 450k of the Wii version? Kinda like how GTA CW is selling worse on PSP then DS

Considering how basic a port this is I doubt it will outsell the Wii version. Ya never know though.

I have my doubts too. However, I do hope it sells well, because the game deserves it.

so its a port officially? hmm can't say i'm going to be popping this in my PS3
already beat it on wii, where it was designed for
something about pressing a simple button to decapitate victims instead of the slicing with the wiimote sounds like, awful to me.
the motion controls for slicing folks in half was part of the charm to me in the NMH on wii
oh well, i can't see how this makes sense in terms of sales. i can't imagine they've spent that much $ to up port them , and those scans honestly look blah
God of War 2 being upscaled on to a PS3 looks better than those scans of NMH port in HD
i think using a standard controller will reveal this game to be a mindless button masher with a solid story.
i prefer the mix of buttons and wii motions, but i may rent it if it comes to USA

Yep, its a HD port with some small extras.
And Im pretty sure that itll bomb, not only is it a 2 year port, the waggle (which MANY agree made the gameplay so satisfying) is gone.
Erotic Portraits are pre-order bonuses. There are two, each exclusive to the PS3 or 360 version of the game.
well, beats paper toilet I guess.

I don't make sweeping assumptions about people. I make sure to collect an ample amount of information about said poster before I call them out. I'm sure most of the posters here, including myself, know that you wouldn't so much as touch another Wii game, no matter how great it was, for the sole purpose that it's on the Wii. We are familiar with your position on it. You are gravely anti-Wii, don't play innocent here. Unless you woke up today and had a drastic change of heart about the Wii, you aren't fooling anyone. If that in fact is the case, then I'm sorry for my rash judgements.
