No one is freaking using the PS3s damm power!!!

The PS3 could do 10 x better if somebody would use it's power... Not even the exclusives use it's maximum... Well maybe LBP uses it's power but not all things... The multi platform games could do much better if they would be done just 4 the PS3!

If the xbox360 would have much power as the PS3 it's games would be much larger and better... I'm not saying that they ain't good but they could be better with a little more better system.. (not saying that the PS3 is the better system)

But MGS 4 comes close, as does Uncharted. There is an explanation for this, and it's quite simple, but to be honest at this point it really isn't worth explaining. If people can't figure it out for themselves before posting a topic, then they probably shouldn't be making topics.

Are you a developer? How would you know if PS3 could do 10x better? Sounds like you are putting PS3 on a pedestal that doesn't seem to exist.

wow you PS3 fanboys really need to wake up. There's nothing amazingly special about the PS3. It has a stripped down version of the cell and a weaker graphics processor than the 360. The 360 can render graphics better than the PS3. The only thing it has is bluray and even that hasn't been proven useful yet. 360 actually has better transfer rate, better fill rate, better memory management. That's why the textures have 2x the detail on 360.

I'd prefer PS3 to make more exclusives rather than spending even more time developing games that use its "Maximum Potential" when I'm perfectly happy with what we have now.

As long as those awful install times don't increase, I don't really care.

I thought the "hidden powa" idea had died off long ago, but I guess not. Where is this idea coming from, that the PS3 has so much "untapped power"? Isn't it known that the GPU and RAM limits on the PS3 keep it from ever unlocking the supposed ultra hidden powers of the cell?

People just can't accept that the 360 and PS3 really aren't that different in capability...

The same could be said for any system. If developers abandoned the PS3 and just worked with the 360, its games would obviously be bigger and better. The PS3 has no more "power" - used or unused - than the 360 or the average gaming PC.

The PS3 has the smallest install base and it costs 50 million bucks to get results like Killzone 2. Third parties are also a lot less familiar witht he PS3's dumb architecture than Sony

It'd be idiotic to make PS3 exclusive games, even if it was selling much better. The costs are too much, the development cycle is too long and the returns are too small

We're only 2 years into the PS3 and we already have games like MGS4, Uncharted, Resistance 2, and LittleBigPlanet utilizing a good amount of the PS3's power. I'd say everything is fine.Bentham

Not sure exactly what you are expecting with your PS3. The power is being used very well. If you are dissapointed that it doesn't blow the Xbox 360 away then all I can tell you is that the systems are closer in "Power" then you are thinking. Microsoft has done wonders with the DVD9 format making the Blu-ray advantage smaller than originally though. (Although I love me my blu-ray)Keep your head up. The PS3 is a great system, and games are usually better later in the life of the system. The Xbox 360 is easier to program for and has been out for a year longer. The PS3 will get there, just give it time. Even if the system has been maxed out I can't complain.

what power? where is all this power i hear so much about? whenever i play our ps3, it looks the same as my the buddy's 360. and i've played a lot of both.

so its either all a conspiracy against sony to make the ps3 fail, or the ps3 isn't as amazingly powerful as they said. it might barely be more powerful than the 360, but not enough to matter.

don't get me wrong, i love the ps3. its just not the powerhouse it was hyped up to be.

PS3's RAM bottleneck strikes again. It doesn't matter what kind of processor it has, or what kind of GPU it has if it is limited to 256 Megs of Ram. The 360 has more RAM so it's better. PS3=waste of money.kevbo77

RAM is not the limiting factor, there for that is not the problem. The problem is with the processor. Go check it out your self.
