No online for Prime 3? Oh dear oh DEAR, sheep!

It was meant to be the killer title...the Halo beater...the one that would finally usher the Wii into the true generation of consoles...

...and it does not have online. A FPS with no online these days? What? Is the Wii moiving backwards or something? Whereas the PS3 has superior online gaming with an unrivaled experienced, the Wii has an arcadey football game and a 5.5 Pokemon fest. Even the 360 has managed to scrape something half playable together, so what is the Wiis excuse?

Like I said before. Online in Prime doesnt really matter to me.

Brawl on the other hand is a different story. If Nintendo doesnt support online in Brawl, I will find Reggie somehow and throw the system at his face.

Who actually WANTED MP3 to have onilne?

It just doesn't suit the games...

To anyone who's actually played an Metroid Prime would know that multiplayer won't be missed. I don't think it's gameplay build warrents it to have a good multiplayer ethic.

Metroid is never halos competition - they are too different to be in competition with each other.

Metroid is a FPA - puzzle solving, exploration - not shooting things for the sake of shooting things - Plus, its just a game that doesnt work online.

'Sure good to be a cow right now' - :lol: - whats so great about lack of games? being lied to constantly? I dont hate the PS3, but i mean i've grown tired of sony over the past 10 years - their attitude.

Seriously people just cause a game uses guns, or in this case something that is similar to a gun, doesnt mean it has to have multiplayer or be online. Sure the Wii needs an online shooter, but MP3 was never a good candidate for it. Maybe Red Steel 2....

Neither of those were ever promised.

1. Metroid Prime is a first-person adventure, not a first-person shooter.
2. The multi-player in MP2 stunk. Multi-player just doesn't suit the play style.
3. No multi-player allows Retro to make the best damn single player possible.

My, and other's, work here is done.

As for what we added, that's kind of a tough question. I can't say, from a geometry standpoint, that we added this room or we added that boss. It wasn't a matter of "We have to add this element." We had the foundation of the game, it was more the cIassic Nintendo scenario of refinements and polish. So what we now have is an extremely polished, extremely tight experience.

I take this as amazing news, news that makes me feel special to be a Prime fan. BW2 is guarenteed to have online, its gameplay will benefit from being online, Prime's won't.

That's easy to say for someone for someone who hasn't seen those shows or played those games.

And comparing the Wii to HBO in terms of quality is quite possibly the greatest compliment you could ever give the console.
