There is no shortage of great games on PC. Meanwhile on PS4 land it's remasters galore and 1 great game every year. Pathetic.
This topic is locked from further discussion.
True story! UC4 proves yet again the very best games of the hen are on either a PlayStation or Nintendo console.
Agreed. Love ordering chicken from my PS4.
Happy with your second great game in 3 years? Took a while for that 400$ investment to pay off.

Divinity 2 (like the 1st) Ultimate Edition will end up on consoles, they need to make sure all the bugs are gone after you guys beta test it for us.

Glad I beta tested a version with better controls, better frame rates and better graphics.
Is XCOM 2 coming out soon for consoles as well? What about a version of Witcher 3 that doesn't dip below 30fps and isn't a stuttering mess?
And lol, did you enjoy Lichdom Battlemage at 15fps?
I'll be a happy camper with Forza around the corner, Divinity 2, Inner Chains, Star Citizen and 90% of console games at 60fps and 1440p and graphics pushed to the max. Enjoy your shit visuals with locked frame rates and 0 mod-ability.
Know your place. You can claim superiority over the Xbox One but you don't stand a chance against PC. 1 great game in over a year won't change that.
Hope you still got your PS3 otherwise you need to pay Sony 20$ a month to enjoy PSNow. Funny cause I can still play my games for PC I bought over 10 years ago and they run better than ever. Crazy huh?
I'll just have to disagree with you. I would take XCom 2, Pillars of Eternity, Starcraft 2, Total War, Unreal Tournament, Fortnite, CoH 2 over Uncharted 4 or Bloodborne. (Bloodborne is amazing, but the performance drops hurt it imo)
The great thing is, I can play them all if I want because I'm not a blind fanboy who dismisses games as trash just because they aren't on my platform of choice.
Oh and I'm rocking a GTX 670 4GB card and can still max most games being released today at 1080p @ 60fps. That is a card from 2012 and it still outperforms my PS4 and X1. GTX1070 or 1080 isn't needed for games at 1080p, but you can keep telling yourself that to justify hating other platforms without real justification.

When you say most games you mean the non-demanding games like most indies? Most AAA games cannot be maxed with a 670 at 1080p/60fps. It wasn't the case in 2012 and it sure as hell isn't the case in 2016. I know, I owned one.
@Juub1990: I corrected that typo in 3 seconds and you still quoted it.... you stalking me?
I can think of at least 4 great exclusives on the PS4 by GS standards so where the **** have you been?
4 in three years and yet you are bragging? Bloodborne, Uncharted 4 and...? Infamous Second Son lol? Don't tell me Ratchet and Clank as it's pretty much the first one with shinier graphics and tweaks. Or are we also counting remasters?
I more so feel bad for those fanatics who tie themselves to one single platform
Exactly. We are all gamers and it is stupid to deny yourself access to games. Those who want the best experience and quality, game on PC. PC gamers also own consoles for exclusives. It is always the console fanboys that end up looking dumb because they don't have access to all the games. They also limit themselves to inferior versions of games with scaled back graphics, lowered resolutions, and worst of all... a shit 30fps.
30 FPS is less of an issue on joysticks as opposed to a kb + m.
You mention scaled backed graphics and lower resolutions and yet when side by side comparisons are done you guys point to the smallest of things to claim superiority.
Maybe next gen you"ll get exclusives on the level of Uncharted or Bloodborne. Better luck next time!
Example "You see! That pebble on the ground, its so much sharper!"
You get more input lag regardless of input type. 30fps is not only less responsive, but it affects the visuals and overall feel of the game. A controller does not eliminate the painful judder and smeared image quality of 30fps. For multi-platform games that share the same assets, you can't expect huge differences between the consoles and PC. If developers take the time, there will be a big difference. Games like The Witcher 3, BF4, GTA V, FO4, etc. look noticeably better on PC and run a hell of a lot better.
Again, I have a PS4, so the exclusives you speak of don't mean shit. I can play them whenever I want.
This is what happens when you are starving for exclusives.
I know, think PC will ever get a 10/10 exclusive? :D
On other websites? Yes. Not on Gamespot though. The site is mostly Console focused. But the good thing is higher score doesn't make a game better than the others. If overall reception of the game is good then it's a good game, after that it just becomes dick measuring contest.
Well that goes for consoles too, to think all they have is 1 or 2 games to play for a person who owns the consoles is dumb.
@Juub1990: Ratchet and clank is no remaster. The levels are completely different and the mechanics have been revamped. And in my opinion was probably the best in the series. If I was counting remasters I would have added TloU, TNDC and GoW 3. Regardless it doesn't change the fact UC4 got a perfect 10 and sits at a 94 on MC which makes it front-runner for Goty.
@brah4ever: let's say you're right and PC doesn’t have an exclusive that is on the same lvl as UC4 , would that make PS4 superior to PC ?

Not taking away anything from Uncharted 4. It looks far and away the best of the series and seems to be the biggest step forward for the franchise. It's likely a lot better than Uncharted 2.
I just find it hilarious that OP names only 2 games to make PC gamers jealous. The console has been out for almost three years and three-four great games is all it has? Kinda pathetic and no reason for boasting.
What excellent list of games does the PC have? This gen specifically.
Why should someone get a PC over a PS4, for gaming.
For me, the PC is a work machine that also plays games. Could I drop the money on a PS4? Sure. But why would I do that when the only two games I want for it are Bloodborne and Nioh? Most of the other Japanese third parties I care about are covered on the Vita, a $200 investment vs. the $300 PS4. Ys 8 is releasing on Vita first, Odin Sphere remake is on PS3/Vita/PS4, Zero Escape 3 is PC/Vita/3DS, and Dangonronpa 3 is PS4/Vita.
As for what does the PC itself have this generation? That all depends on taste. I'm a huge fan of Dota 2, Shadowrun Returns: Dragonfall Directors Cut, Pillars of Eternity, and Age of Decadence . I've heard good things about the last couple Total War games, Homeworld: Deserts of Kharak, and Kara no Shoujou 2.
This is what happens when you are starving for exclusives.

The thread is about exclusives.
Bloodborne + UC 4 > any PC games. People will say The Witcher 3 or Dark Souls 3 or MGS V , but they are on PS 4 also HaHa
Total War Warhammer also on consoles ?

XCOM 2, KI, Forza, Company of Heroes 2, Elite Dangerous, Rise of the Tomb Raider, Titanfall, Ori and the Blind Forest, Starcraft II and a plethora of other games>Entire PS4 library.

You seem to care a lot about frame per secs, how in the hell did you game before moving to the PC?
@Juub1990: That depends on your definition of great games. If your criteria for that is anything that scores from an 8 to a 10 on GS then it has 7 great exclusives.(not counting remasters) I honestly don't let reviewers dictate what I play. I've loved all three uncharteds so it could have got a 6 on GS and I would have played it... however it scored a 10 so that's excellent SW material.
You seem to care a lot about frame per secs, how in the hell did you game before moving to the PC?
The same way I did. Used to love playing Perfect Dark on the N64 with 3 other friends. Frame rate dipped in the single digits at time.
Once you experience PC gaming in its fully glory you'll never go back to being a full time console gamer. I bought a PS4 for the odd exclusive(Bloodborne which became garbage after 20hrs) but sold it as there was almost nothing great on it that couldn't be played on PC for cheaper and better.
Gonna get the Neo when it comes out.
@brah4ever: TotalWar, Civilization, StarCraft, X-Com, and Dawn of War? Also I agree with @BassMan, it's rough to go back to ~30fps after 60 and above for so many years. It really is night and day.

Xcom 2 will be on consoles by the end of this year. Why? Because people like money.
Lichdom Battlemage was a bad game from PC that got ported to consoles, so nobody cares. Moving on.
Those games you mentioned, Divinity 2 Inner Chains, and with the exception of Star Citizen will be on PS4, with the benefits of having big exclusives to go with.
Enjoy your sh1tty Steam Greenlight Garbage, I'll be playing Uncharted 4.

None of the games I mentioned were announced for PS4. Even if they do come out, you'll play the downgraded version at 30fps and 900p. I'll gladly play them and be done with them 2 years before you even touch the inferior versions.
I'm happy you're gonna enjoy Uncharted 4. Must feel good to be playing the 3rd great game on the system in 2 years lol. I bet you don't even know what Inner Chains is troll.

This gen yes, ignoring hardware or whatever.
PS4 has the better game this gen, fact.
Not on average. Looking at this sites review list PC has many more titles over 8/10, which is pretty amazing considering it seems to be a console oriented site.
You mean about 10 hours of linear, highly controlled, set piece gameplay that is fun once through?
Yeah probably not. PC gamers like more value for their money.
Oh ok, so games like CSGO, DOTA, and League of Legends.
PC is awesome man
Those are wonderful games that last years and have very high skill requirements.

Uncharted 4, Bloodborne, Rachet & Clank, Horizon Zero Dawn, Kingdom Hearts 3, and Persona 5 sh1ts all over your PC exclusives (can't even name anyone worthwhile ones outside of 1 or 2 in the past 5 years) in the present and the foreseeable future.
Games are built PS4 lead and then ported to the PC.
Deal with it.

Each of those games will have been played by more players than have ever played any Uncharted game. Each one of those games has 1000x the gameplay hours and have amassed massive fanbases that crowded stadiums just to watch their favorite teams play.
Not sure exactly what you're getting at here. Extremely popular games with a long history and massive community vs. a very small, if well polished, linear action game that is purposely made to emulate a movie-like experience.

It's all the PC gamers have, ask a random PC gamer on the street what "game" they play.
It'll probably be League of Legends.
^ Damn, 1 "must have" exclusive in 3 years and they think they own the place... comedy gold!
Overwatch on consoles.... dem analog sticks! :D
I bet it will be super successful ... like TF2 and CS:GO on con.... oh wait....
watching people on console play CSGO was one of the must painful things I've ever seen. Overwatch would be worse.
You seem to care a lot about frame per secs, how in the hell did you game before moving to the PC?
I have been gaming on PC and console for many years. I always preferred the high frame rates on PC. I used to play a lot of console games back in the day because there were a lot of good exclusives. I tolerated it because there were no better options for those games. When there were PC versions available like Metal Gear Solid, GTA, Prince of Persia, Splinter Cell, Beyond Good & Evil, etc., I would always play them on PC. It is the same as when I used to watch SD before HD. I don't watch SD anymore.

Ask PS4 owner what game they are playing and they would tell you that they are waiting for greatness. Don't let the lack of games stress you out so much. Greatness awaits. It will get better.

So a game that can run on any PC made in the last 20 years and is free is more popular than a series which requires one to buy a gaming device not everyone owns?
Mind blown

What does it matter if the games are MOBA's or F2P? Is any any worse than the next generic third person shooter or brain-dead movie-game? At least those games prioritize gameplay, longevity and content over cinematic experience and 5hrs of gameplay.
Last I checked Kingdom Hearts 3 wasn't an exclusive.
Horizon? Guerilla Games hasn't made a good game in almost 5 years lol.
Built for the PS4? That explains why my old 7850 beats the PS4 like a rented mule in pretty much every game.
Such a bad troll. Calling the SNES overrated but then you're riding Sony's nuts like there is no tomorrow. What a hypocrite.
