Nostalgia Thread... What Are The Games You Miss?

Does anyone remember Maximo? At one point he would be fighting skeletons in his trousers. :lol:

Cla.ssic Resident evil games, Dino Crisis, Medievil and good megaman games :(

Also, the Mother series (Earthbound).

Dunno the name of the game, but it had this kid with spiky hair(he was a ninja or something), it was an adventure/platformer game.

I've come to find that in most cases, games I have strong nostalgia for tend not to have aged well when I go back to them after playing later installments. Two great, recent examples have been Driver (PS) and Super Mario 64 (N64). Great games at the time, with a lot of great memories... but after playing Driver: San Francisco and Super Mario Galaxy 2, going back to them is difficult to enjoy.

EDIT: I have also noticed that games with unique artstyIes tend to stand the test of time a lot more, as they don't ride entirely on their technical prowess and technical design. There is a "charm" about them that makes them worthwhile to re-experience.

Let me see, off the top of my head: Legacy of Kain, an Oddworld game, a sequel to Psychonauts, Jade Empire and Star Wars: Republic Commando.

Old school Resident Evil, Rainbow Six, Mechwarrior, Wizardry.

Crimson Skies

Rogue Squadron

Wing Commander

Freelancer

Dino Crisis

Watch your mouth. Maximo (when it was called Ghouls n Goblins)was and older game that I loved growing up. I enjoyed it on PS2 just as much.

MGS3. One of the greatest games ever.

The Combat Flight Simulator series. I wish MS would make a Combat Flight Simulator 4.

MSCFS2:

The Mechwarrior series.

Jak and Daxter, Dark Cloud and good Tony Hawk games.

Road Rash and why the heck don't we have a new one by now. :?

But now to the real old :P I'd take a new single player Phantasy Star game any day of the week - the first one was mah very first JRPG ever.
