It looks like we finally get to hear about Sony's BF numbers. The 18th to 24th.

PS3=525,00 units

Vita=160,000 units

Sales of PlayStation Plus subscriptions on PlayStation Network increased 259% compared to last years Black Friday period, Sony states, with customer satisfaction rates for PS Plus above 95%.Sony

So PS3 did worse than the 360, but still domination, I assume, right?

I believe the 360 sold more than 750 for the week of Black Friday. According to the article it sold 750k+ the weekend of.

360 won for the simple reason. The general price of a console is cheaper. I own a 360 and love sony but how does sony still charge 299 or , 249 for a console that old?

I don't care if theres a blue ray player in it, your in one of the last years of the current gen. Make the price easier to swallow for late adopters of the console.


But overall I'm impressed with the ps3's sales this gen. Got a later start, inventory problems at launch, and yet their pretty close with the 360 this gen in sales.

Owning a PS3 is like being a part of a super secret Gentleman's club. Nice suits, Rolex's, Aston Martins, kicking it in lazyboys and nothing but the best of brews. We're a smaller but cooler group, continuously drawing in the jelly and butthurt from the mininum wage workers and welfare gatherers (hint lems) who can only hope to save up one day and join our elite group.

Nintendo only sent 400K units to the U.S. You can't sell anymore then that if they aren't on the shelves. They completely sold out in the U.S.

Hum, actually the EU regions (outside of the UK) helped more the PS3 sales than japan did. Japan isnt the only place where the PS3 is ahead of the 360. In most EU its is aswell. I can say the same about the 360 i.e. remove the USA numbers and the PS3 would be WAAY ahead of the 360. See how it goes for each side?
