I paid $59.99 for Halo 4.

Got $20 credit from Amazon, $25 from AMEX, and then another $50 off 100 of Best Buy (albeit this one requires me to spend $100 to get my $50 back, so it's not a straight up credit... but still... to me it might as well be cash in my pocket). That's $95 back on a $60 game. :lol:Also another $10 just for syncing my console with AMEX.

Follow the cheapa$$gamer link to understand. You have to do some weird thing where you "sync" your console, which gives you $10 statement credit all by itself. Then once you activate the deal and play Halo 4 on your "synced" console you get $25 statement credit for beating the game on normal, and another $50 statement credit (after spending $100 at Best Buy) for beating co-op.

The only relavance Amazon has, is that they also threw in their own $20 promotion credit which just piled onto the credits available through the XBOX dashboard.

All I know is I'm getting $95 back related to Halo 4, and another $10 for syncing my XBOX (not requiring Halo 4). Between AMEX, Microsoft, Best Buy, Amazon I really don't care who paid the larger share towards my copy of Halo 4. ;)

360 won for the simple reason. The general price of a console is cheaper. I own a 360 and love sony but how does sony still charge 299 or , 249 for a console that old?

I don't care if theres a blue ray player in it, your in one of the last years of the current gen. Make the price easier to swallow for late adopters of the console.


But overall I'm impressed with the ps3's sales this gen. Got a later start, inventory problems at launch, and yet their pretty close with the 360 this gen in sales.

The PS3 250 GB with games was on sale all over the place for $199 this BF. That is the same price the 360 250 GB was selling for. Plus, you don't have to buy live to play online.

you're right. perhaps i did not phrase my statement correctly. it's just that seeing all this preemptive damage control for the ps3 when nobody actually said the ps3 did poorly makes me wonder why some people take this so seriously. :P
