I'd say SMG is the real winner of the three. Gears had incredible shock value for being the first real "next gen" game, and was a great game, but never really struck me as GOTY material. I think MGS4 is a gross mistake, one of the lowest rated major AAA's of this generation by the general reviewing community, and an incredibly overrated game on a system that over-recognized it because of its general lack of good games... But, GS can award whatever they want.

I wouldn't say easily. We've had MANY quality titles this generation and I'm sure, plenty more to come -- I think MGS4 is at the top with a lot of other games -- I mean I think gamers are lucky this generation, theres so much out in such a short amount of time -- and so much good.
