It's still obvious Uncharted 2 will be GOTY here on GameSpot, but yeah it sucks it's not in the top 20 especially after those barrages of funny Sony commercials while I don't remember the ODST commercials at all.

wow, so a game with halo plastered over the name outsold a fantastic game that got more than 25 perfect scores? surprise surprise. this is nothing to gloat about. halo is like mario, it sells 10 million no matter what, but it's in no way any better than the last 5 or so. The top ten games on that list have scored from AA to AAA here, only exception being Wii Fit Plus which scored a respectable 7.5

I really dont understand why gamers are not buying such a great game, it has an amazing sp campaign and great mp... its really one game not to be missed.. but maybe there are many gamers out there who prefare other genres..

Too busy with Xbox 360, PSP, and Wii to buy games for the PS3. I did pick up the first Ratchet and Clank a few months ago but traded it in about a week later.

For a game to be a potential Game of the Year, does it need to sell boat loads or does it just come down to the quality?

Sony marketed the game just fine. UC 2 had plenty of exposure and still does with it winning GOTY. You cant get better marketing than what UC 2 recieved. So it does not come with a Happy Meal unlike Mario and Halo toys.

If you read a latest report it says that advertising only makes up 11% of someone likely to buy a game, the highest was what? Word of mouth.

Halo games in general has its single player mode but it is also well know for it multiplayer games so it will sell loads and have people playing for ages making it a must buy for anyone into Halo online.

UC2 problem is that it is know as a great short single player game meaning alot of people will pass on buying this game and just rent it for a week to complete. Naughty Dogtried to extend the life of UC2 with multiplayer and they done a good job of it but the firstUC got its name for the single players game so the multiplayer aspect of UC2 are just getting ignored by alot of people who's going back to this game for the single player. The fact that it came out between other shooter game like MW2 didn't help the multiplayer side of the game.

I think that naughty dog should have promised people downloadable side stories to come out in the future then more single player fans would have bought the game to keep it for future DLC.

It's actually dragon age.. and secondly considering the PC version only did about 170k copies within the first month compared to 6 mil.. well... I guess it's true
