It's getting close to the holidays. Prepare to be f'ing FLOORED when you see 3DS sales for November and December.

I love that we're still using inaccurate sales numbers/groups that don't track all sources :P

It's odd to see the 360 pick up steam so late in its life, but at the same time I'm actually considering finally getting one to compliment my PC rather than mooch off friends. They don't always buy the games I'm interested in.

Highly doubt it. If that was true then the PS3 wouldn't have caught up to the 360's extra year head start. Those numbers were released only like last week.

360 is doomed and will end up in last place in terms of sales this gen. MY EXPERT OPINION BACKS UP THIS CLAIM. :P

They released Kinect in fear of the Wii. MS did not anticipate Nintendo's dominance.

That's not hard. Release 2 exclusives and you already have a better year than what 2011 gave the 360.

Ports and half of those don't even have confirmed release dates. I'm pretty sure 343 never announced what platform(s) Halo 4 was going to be released on either.

Uh no...that's an extremely small list.

Not if the PS3 also has a price cut. Wii-U comes out next year and that is going to automatically dominate sales.

In fact sold 2x more than both combined and Fable 3 sold 3 million too

when the console cost is a drop in the bucket compared to what you spend for games i would rather have those games on a more powerful system and just take the minuscule hit on the console cost.

True, but Sony kept supporting their PS2 through 2007. God of War II was released for PS2 and that was a pretty big deal. Microsoft cut support for their platform as soon as the 360 was released. So it makes me wonder if they'll actually support it. It's a different scenario this time since the Xbox 360 is more successful than the Xbox, but still, makes me wonder.

are lems really that done with the 360 that they are disapointed that the 720 isn't coming out yet? Being a Ps3 owner... I am still happy with my ps3 as a console that I don't want a new one to come out anytime soon. Game graphics are fine for me, and I got a pc too so if i want super graphics I can play on that. But next gen systems aren't needed yet... world recession, super expensive to make and sell, and dev costs through the roof.!! As far as generic goes, Call of Duty is the most generic, so I'm not sure where you're going with that statement. You do know what generic means, right?

As far as doing well in Call of Duty, it's easy with all the aim assist and perks. It requires minimal skill from the player.

Now you can think its fun, you can join the masses and play it, but let's be real- game is the same since 2005. It stopped being the best a long time ago. It sells the most and so devs try to copy it. Thankfully, a few, like Bungie, Epic, Platinum,Valve and other devs have made excellent games by steering away from Call of Duty. Others have tried to copy it, like High Voltage, DICE, Insomniac, etc.

Let's just say, the reason why only one shooter scored over 9.0 on GameSpot this year, is the one shooter that hasn't copied Call of Duty. That's saying something about being the best.

The game is made for casuals, of course it sells well. I love the game, it is fun but def imbalanced and rewards camping. The game is made with unskilled players in mind.

I played more and i think Call of Duty beats every garbage FPS out there.

Games dont need good graphics to be fun, look at BF3 for example, the game looks very good but its far from fun to play ( at least according to the beta ), more like camperfield 3. nobody move in that game as for call of duty it may look a bit old but its worth that $60 since it had unlimited replay value, the online is where it shines and MW3 improved lots over MW2. sadly all the devs you mentioned havent come close to making a game as addicting as Call of Duty. Since when review scores matter? :o Call of Duty >> all FPSs :cool:.. haters need to deal with it :oops:
