And it seems that Ocarina 3D was not the game that made people ( at least in JP ) going nuts for the 3DS. I mean 9K more than the PSP this week is not that impressive !

PSP – 31,741.

Not a Huge Victory for the 3DS, but not a Huge Victory for the PSP either.

I don't think I've played a Level 5 game, but every game I see made by them looks great. Not sure what Little Battler Xperience is though.

Edit: Turns out I OWN a Level 5 game.. I'll open my copy of DQ8 as soon as I finish Persona 3.

This was posted a while ago and when it was debated then you are missing several facts and ignoring them

1 PSP has more units sold

2 Its Level 5

and if you compared the handheld units to the software units sold OOT 3ds sold a bigger ratio

I didn't think Zelda was ever popular in Japan? Thought it was more of a western series. And even there the sales weren't alike Mario titles or so. Don't know why though. Maybe the protagonist isn't manly enough for the gamers.

Zelda influences fable heavily sometimes tbh but it falls flat by being uninspired.Zelda still innovates and shows how it should be done and tbh this is a prime example of HOW a remake should be handled.

And yes, thanks for mentioning it's a 13 year old port, that only makes it better for Nintendo; when the original Mario/Pokemon titles come then we will see an even bigger sales spike.

Maybe 70% wouldn't be big spike... if 3DS sales weren't stuck in low 20k even lower some weeks, and it wasn't continually getting outsold my PSP. But no, the lowish sales were consistent, they didn't fluctuate.

Then OOT comes, 40k. Didn't come out of nowhere, that my friend is a sales spike, and a big one.

Then again, you would try to spin this story to be as pessimistic as possible.
