No, but the Cows will flood this poll with hate.

No, I think its fantastic, and I gave it a 10(because Halo 3's online is awesomesauce(never owned a Halo game so no halo online before)). Cows will say yes though, and this poll will be a fail.bronxxbombersmeasure it by price to quality ratio.

If GS overrated it, then the majority overrated it. Its likely the majority are wrong but more probable that its just a great game.
i think a 9 is the exactly right score for that game.im really enjoying the campaign.its pretty good.not amazing.but im definetly not regretting this purchase.especially since i really didnt like h3 single player. and firefight is by far my favorite survival mode on a game yet. and i already owned h3 so i had the multiplayer. but its still really fun.
maybe its too early for this poll, usually it takes few weeks for the game to truly show its colors.
i guess ill make another poll in a few weeks and see how it plays down the road.
the problem i have with the score is the price of the expansion pack.
it will give other devs the same idea, and that is bad for everyone.
If Halo 3 never came out, then ODST would be a great game... but Halo 3 DID come out, a long time ago... and it's nearly the same game as ODST.Messiahbolical-
Except ODST has decent level design, interesting characters, an excellent musical score and good weapon balance; everything Halo 3 did not.
id say no, it basically felt like a bit of a regression, campaign wise, story wise and graphics wise. also the same friendly ai idiocy in halo 3 resurfaced when theyre asked to drive a vehicle.
also, i tried to not let it bother me, but it felt slightly underwelming not playing as master chief.

Halo 3 still had an excellent musical score. The rest is subjective I guess.id say no, it basically felt like a bit of a regression, campaign wise, story wise and graphics wise. also the same friendly ai idiocy in halo 3 resurfaced when theyre asked to drive a vehicle.

You seriously prefered master chief? His personality was non-existant. I wouldn't mind that but in games filled with melodrama it doesn't exactly flow with consistancy...

Whatever just saying that anything Martin O'Donnel composes is gold no matter how you spin it.[QUOTE="Macutchi"]

yeah, it was just more his presence and the fear the covenant guys had for him, them goin on about the demon and stuff that i missed.
i loved halo 3 and seein as though that was 2 years ago i didnt see much in the way of improvements, like i said was almost a step back. and it was too dark
and the game crashed for me about 3/4 through and i lost my save which really pissed me off, but thats not affecting my overall opinion of the game's quality :)
Its a great game. Just beat it on Legendary and did an hour long firefight. Very solid.SpruceCabooseGreat Game(8 - 8.5)? i agree Superb(9 - 9.5)? i dont think so that's the way i see it too.
Majority of Halo fans that i know didnt like ODST, hmmmmmmmmmm.I'm not a fan of Halo, so overated :P

I think it was a little overrated. I'd give the game a 6.5-7.0. It was a definete improvement for the series, but still didn't make it really fun to me.

Majority of Halo fans that i know didnt like ODST, hmmmmmmmmmm. I don't know where you looked, but there was a lot of stuff hardcore Halo fans could easily pick out in the sp and everyone that I know that played it loves it.[QUOTE="SpruceCaboose"]Its a great game. I think it deserved a 9.

Excellent game. I voted "Not overrated".
Level progression served a narrative sty1e that's unconventional by shooter standards. Bungie took a big chance with that, and it paid off in spades. I thought the story was interesting...more so than Halo 3. Voice acting was superb. Musical scoring, top-notch. The gunplay is as tight as Halo gets. I have nocomplaints.
[QUOTE="C-Lee"]Nope. They gave it the right score.ZoomZoom2490i would agree if the game was $29.99 I got more out of the disc than Halo 3. :o
[QUOTE="ZoomZoom2490"][QUOTE="C-Lee"]Nope. They gave it the right score.SpruceCaboosei would agree if the game was $29.99 I got more out of the disc than Halo 3. :o most of it is from halo3, same engine, etc. just different map layouts and music. i downloaded more content for Unreal Tournement games, Half Life, etc for my PC than actual games, and it was all free... so that logic i got more out of the disk than halo 3 is logic on error mode.
