It probably would have been 8,8 but Jeff had to round it up to 9 for the new system, lack of chainsaws probably sealed Bioshock's fate.

Ive never heard of "hitches" in this game from anybody that already owns the game early or from other reviews.

I bet he gave it the same as Zelda but rounded it up to 9.0 because of the rating scheme.

You have to read the whole review, not just the good and bad section to get his complaints. He says that the combat doesn't take much skill and isn't as action packed, he should have put that in the bad section.

The credibility was already lost when they switched to the .5 review system. It will only continue to go down hill until they realize their mistake.

The overall hype was AAA. Sure you'll have a few fanboys who dive in the deep water, but most of them stayed in the shallow end.

Agreed 100%. This just makes lemmings look bad. It was hyped AAA and it got AAA, but by crying they are making it look like a flop. It's a 9/10 for crying out loud. It's an amazing game.

So, Ninja Gaiden Sigma (a touch up from a last gen game, mind you) is equally as good as Bioshock, an inventive FPS from the creators of System Shock?

System Shock 2 was under-rated here, and I guess Bioshock can be added to the list.
