Since this thread had the pretty pics to open with, I'm making this the official thread to discuss and debate these two exclusive titans. Argue their graphics, covers, characters, foliage, weapons, multiplayer, single player, facial hair, voice acting, and everything else, in HERE.

Well. Uncharted 3 vs. Gears of war 3 has officially dethroned the Forza 4 vs. Gran turismo 5 threads.

You guys are really running out of Gears VS Uncharted thread ideas arn't you?

UC3, it doesn't have a fat steroid abusing guy on the cover. Then again, there's an old rule that I follow, "if it has fire on the cover, it's a bad game." Inconsistancy

It has former Steroid abuser Chris Redfield on the cover though.

I'm probably going to get both! So win win for me!!!:P

Uncharted 3 has no fat unaesthetic powerlifter on dat dere cell tech. = automatic fail.

Uncharted characters > Gears characters by a long shot so U3 the Gears one looks pretty cheesy too, like ME2 where you have the sidekicks doing a stupid pose next to the heroKevinButlerVP

I like them both, but I like Uncharted 3's more just because there's something cool going on in the background. C'mon Gears, I already know the characters. :PUCF_Knight

So now we can finally get down to business, Gears 3 has better toilet graphics than Uncharted 3, therefore Gears is undeniably the best!

As it stands, neither Anya or Samanatha made it through. Chloe and Elena on the other hand are both going strong.

And who's the fine blonde above? Does she actually have something to do with GeoW or UC3? ;)

The Gears box art looks really bad IMO. I really like the Uncharted one though. As far as Box art it goes, U1>>>U3>>>>>>>U2.

Besides, your logic assumes that the quality of all 3 titles in both franchises is distributed linearly. It isnt. If a new model of a car comes out, with a higher safety rating, would you determine the safety rating by averaging the last 2 safety ratings of the last 2 cars together?

The Gears box art looks really bad IMO. I really like the Uncharted one though. As far as Box art it goes, U1>>>U3>>>>>>>U2.

I don't think UC2's box art was that much worse than the others. :(

I'll be getting both games since am a huge fan of both series...

However imo ND have much more pressure on them since releasing a sequel to UC2 (high scores, sales, awards etc) is no easy job..

The reason I didn't answer before is because you brought up an argument that simply doesn't apply to the argument I put forth. How exactly would one find a similarity between two game series released this generation comparing their averages and 2 generations of systems sales averages? The logic is weak this isn't cars this is video games its not game systems its video games and at the heart the sheer fact remains the gears series has a higher average score then the uncharted series.

Seems to me like your bringing up confusing flak to some how distract from the point of the argument...gears series has a higher average score then the uncharted series therefor making it a higher scoring series and therefor a better series... much like how Forza is a AAA series, Gran Tourismo is not. Maybe next time actually bring forth aworking argument instead of just shooting out flak to distract people from the facts.

And let me again say (since you didnt respond in the other thread) that I guess if we use your logic of combining the "average" of the first 2 games, that we can declare PS3 the winner of the generation by combining the sales of PS2 and PS3 and "averaging" them to the combined sales of 360 and the original xbox ;). I see no reason why anybody here would object to that.
