I guess going on blackout for games has its disadvantages for when you have some questions about the upcoming release. Did some research and found out the following for anyone interested in knowing:

• No Spartan Ops or Firefight. Warzone is essentially serving as its replacement. source
• On top of 20 multiplayer maps, 343 will offer 15 DLC maps at no extra charge, expected by June 2016. source
• Xbox Boss (Phil Spencer) "confident" Halo 5 will have smooth launch. source
• Halo 5 will not have a voting or veto system in multiplayer, just straight rotation. source
• Big Team Battle will not be available at launch. source
• Microtransactions are not pay to win. source
• "You can still gain currency by grinding." source
• Hunt the Truth Season 2 is going on now.

All in all, I'm getting Halo 2 and Halo 3 levels of excitement from this game. I hope it lives up to the hype. I'm planning to delve deep into this game, playing a lot of multiplayer and having some fun in Forge again. Plus, the campaign appears like it's going to rock. Looks like an amazing package that, coupled with my mantra of purchasing fewer games, will keep me busy for a long time.

It all started with me just wanting to know if Spartan Ops was returning. :P I found the mode in the Master Chief Collection and was enjoying it, so I was very late to the party on that one.

There's so much more info I could put out too. Stuff that a lot of fans know but maybe not stuff that other gamers do. Like the lack of splitscreen being one of the most difficult decisions 343 had to make. They are getting a ton of flack from gamers for it, but they didn't make it lightly.

Or all of the info on story that I've been hiding away from. Info on Blue Team and Team Osiris. Who are the Spartans that make up each team? What sets these teams apart? (Find some information about this stuff here.) Why is Team Osiris chasing the Master Chief? These are things that I don't want spoiled, but would love a brief synopsis on.

Had I been a little quicker on the trigger, I might have claimed making my first hype thread with Halo 5. But at the same time I was asking about it in the Lounge, user oflow put his together. So I missed out. :P

Suffice it to say, I'm hyped for this game. And unlike 2 and 3, this feels more like my Halo. I loved Halo 4's campaign a ton, it's probably my favorite in the series. And I'm looking at the online and planning to play, something I rarely did in previous games. Halo 5: Guardians is my Halo, and that's exciting.

And being an apologist for this site shouldn't be up yours.... Though.

I still remember playing Combat Evolved on a friend's Xbox. He was the only one who owned the console and he was laughing as he kicked our asses in multiplayer. After showing me that and Fable, I knew I had to get the Xbox. I received the Xbox, Halo and Fable as a gift (thanks grandma) and it was only a couple months till Halo 2 released. So Halo 2 was the one that got me into the series. And boy, was it a good feeling kicking that friends ass after I worked hard at getting good at the game. It was then that he started saying he didn't care as much for Halo. :P

I still haven't watched Nightfall but I've had the bluray on my shelf for a month or two now. Glad to know you're enjoying it. I wasn't sure what I'd think; Forward Unto Dawn was decent enough, and I don't know what to think about Locke. Maybe I'll find some time and watch it this weekend!

Knowning 343 is behind this, lems should be happy if it scored AA.

I say AA ! Multiplayer must be top notch if this game wants to be AAA ( my vote is for Metacritic average score after all critics review , GS wise game will be a 9 most likely )

Halo MCC is the best sold next-gen exclusive, Halo 5 will do good things for Xbox One

@mems_1224: what I actually think is they will bring her back to close the chapter on Master Chief since he will ride off into the sunset with her with future games focusing on Blue Team and Team Osiris

It is getting really hard not watching all these videos but I want it to mostly be fresh when I play and have nothing spoiled. So far I have only watched a little.

Given how GameSpot gave Mad Max a 6/10 and Arkham Knight a 7/10, who the **** knows what's possible anymore?

@Heil68: not really. It's like people around here don't actually play games they just get their jollies talking about what metacritic says. A great game is a great game and from all accounts from media outlets that got to play the game Halo 5 is going to be a great game.

I actually care a lot more about playing good games than arguing with cows here that basically use semantics to try and make good games they don't even play look bad.

That's the big difference between lems and cows to me. lems will at least admit a PS4 game is a decent game, cows refuse to give props to good Xbox games when props are due.

I can garauntee you that as soon as Halo 5 drops there will be a bunch of threads posting gifs trying to compare the graphics to Killzone SF to try and make Halo look bad. Nevermind most cows don't even play KZ and it's a mediocre shooter at best. But suddenly every cow here will become a KZ fan.

What I want to know will cows give Halo 5 it's due props when it does meet expectations?

Sounds like you are a good sport and like me, I'll play a game if I want to no matter the score. I've played 4/`0 games and have enjoyed them.

If Halo flops though, it would be major for SW's, if it meets HYPE, which is AAA, it would be a feather in lems caps like Bloodborne for PS4.

I'm more talking about the type of stuff that goes on around here like what we saw with Forza 6.

You could hear a pin drop when DriveClub launched and no one wanted to even talk about it for months because of how bad the game was, but soon as Forza 6 drops cows are coming out of the woodworks bragging up DriveClub.

Like I said, I'm already anticipating the KZ comparison gif threads when Halo 5 drops.

They already started and the game is unreleased, the insecurities are off the charts.

I think 9 is on lock, but i'm hoping for a 10 or an 8.
