How can you 'spam grenades' when you only have two? I honestly haven't seen any of this horrible 'nade spammage people keep complaining about.Ninja-Hippo

I've been trying like hell to get a code on those annoying Twitter contests but have no luck. I feel so bad for missing out on it. Hope you guys are enjoying it. I love that Bungie is making the beta so early. They truly understand what it means to have a beta

It tends to happen alot on Sword Base (especially in one-flag): the two teams inevitably end up on opposite sides of a chokepoint, and players will just chuck-die-respawn-lather-rinse-repeat (and since players are constantly dying, there's usually a healthy stockpile of spare 'nades sitting around).

No you don't. You can win a code through numerous promotions around the net. Also, Halo 2 loyalists have been promised to be rewarded with these codes too. They are rolling out within the week for Halo 2 players and codes via Twitter/other sites have been going around even before May 3rd. The beta has been live before May 3rd. I know because I've been trying so hard yet I have failed thus far.

Probably. I don't know SWAG at all, but if he has a reputation around here it's probably legit. I usually trust the majority of users around here. My point was towards ODST not being the only source.

I'm having way too much fun with Armor Lock. That shield eats grenades, rockets, swords, hammers, and any damage for breakfast! :o

I have had instances where I can withstand an entire team just in time for my teammates to come in and re-direct the fire. I'll go on a whim and say it is broken with how often you can use it. I'm suggesting that Bungie should limit it to one lock, and then it has to go into cooldown. Currently, you can pull off two locks before it has to recharge. That is essentially a cache of enemy grenades.

Although, I will say it is not to have it at this point because grenades are so powerful!

You can pretty much count on the fact that SWAG is incapable of having an objective viewpoint on anything Xbox.

Killzone 2 was innovative....how exactly? Unless you are referring to Rico, being the ultimate showcase for a terribly written character, bringing douchebags in video games to before unseen levels. Then I would agree with you with all my heart and soul

What do you mean? I have no opinion of Swag, I don't know the guy's posting history aside from this thread. And judging from this thread he has a reputation as a PS3 fanboy. How am I off the mark?

I need to play more to see how it pans out, but as of right now it seems like armor lock is a broken gameplay mechanic. Any of the other abilities you can still damage or kill your opponent when they activate, so they're tolerable. In my limited experience armor lock breaks the flow of the gameplay. Kinda lame imo.

It's all cool if it stays 1-on-1 for the duration of the encounter, but the main problem is when your battling a guy and you're about to kill him, then he goes armor lock, then his teammate comes in changes the whole situation. I would have normally killed the guy and his teammate who was coming around the corner, but now both of them run off holding hands and giggling because of some cheap perk. It's like an invulnerable Last Stand that you can recover from.

Like I said before, it breaks the flow of gameplay, so as of right now I don't like it much. I like gunplay and flow, you know.

Anyone else feel like that the Elite's weapons are a bit over powered?

ok....something's up. I tried going back to the dashboard and now my 360 is just showing a black screen.
