a review is not LAW. the funny is that most people bashing the game have not played the game. they are just making their decision based on other people's opinion.

anyway, I'm getting the game, I enjoyed the demo. anyone got a problem with that?

I do! How dare you ignore these credential-laden reviewers and their bad reviews of games! Some nerve you have to take it upon yourself and go buy a game because its something you personally like and would have fun playing... Dont you know that when a game is given a bad review it means everyone must stay away or they arent true gamers????!!!!????

Breaking news! Free Radical is going to be releasing a free map pack upon release in order to try and entice more people into purchasing the game. Here is a sample of the map called "Hot Garbage". Just look at those textures!:P

Are you seriously denying that it was ever hyped? I guess that that official hype thread I've linked twice was just a figment of my imagination. And you say I failed at an attempt at ownage. :roll:

Also, I guess the posters I've seen who deny any negative reviews and say the game is still awesome don't exist as well? Man, I must be smokign SOMETHING, because I'm apparently having a slew of hallucinations.

i'm disappointed in Free Radical .. can you believe they're made up of ex-RARE devs, and made Timesplitters?!

i never saw anything special in haze .. it's so generic and uninspired

yea the hype was big(during last year), but wasn't nearly big as lair. hype did go down slowly as the game kept being delayed, the release of the demo, and now the ign review.

I remember when Haze's visuals was being compared to Crysis and the high and mighty cows was going crazy over this.

Now? They pretend that it doesnt even exist.

No that is not me I thought the demo was fun and it made me want to buy this game. After reading the IGN review(I don't entirely trust it) I was a little disappointed in the multiplayer with only 3 modes.

Haze 4.5 + Lair 4.5 = 9.0

But we have to wait for the GS score before we can "add" them up like that. FYI average score so far is 6.7...which still is dissapointing but its not LAIR bad.

Actually, the hype for Haze was pretty big, coming from a well-respected developer like Free Radical. It died down for a while when rumors circulated that it would also be coming to the 360 (the same way Assassin's Creed lost its hype overnight when it was announced multiplatform). The hype came back big again once it was confirmed a PS3 exclusive, but once again died down, due to multiple delays and the release of much more hyped games like GTA IV and GT5P.

But never let it be said there weren't periods of excessive hype for Haze.

In the end though i think it was consider as a possible AA tops. To the very least, it didn't get the monsterous hype Lair got. :P

seems like it would have gotten arround that based on the other reviews (my guess was 8/8.5 lol). Oh well, wont affect my enjoyment of the game. carlisledavid79

i guess the ps3 is all smack-talk and no action, 6.0 seems gnerous for all the de-merits they gave it. i game with dialog that bad that still takes itself seriouslly.... oh dear :(

The Cows made it sound like this game was the GREATEST thing to hit the PS3. Even rubbing it in the faces of 360 owners that Haze would never make it to MS' platform.

At this point - no thanks, we don't want Haze.
