The N64 didn't do nearly this badly. It still sold almost 40 million units by the end of its lifetime, which is 15 million more than what the Xbox and GameCube sold, and the PS3 is more closely following the GameCube's sales than anything else.

It got it's @*$ kicked by over 400k in NA.. It outsold the 360 by like 200k in Japan... In Nov the 360 outsold the PS3 in Canada. WHat numbers are you using?

Looking at those anual sales I can conclude that the PS3 probably didn't outsell the X360 worldwide in 2007 like so many have claimed. The 360 outsold it by 2 milion in the US. The PS3 outsold the X360 in japan by aproximately 1.5 milion. This means that the PS3 needed to outsell the 360 by more than half a milion in Europe. I truly don't believe this because in the UK, the largest market in Europe the 360 came out as the winner every month.Arsuz

Let me guess VGchartz? The problem with VGchartz is they don't count the mole men or Bigfoot; They buy alot of consoles, in fact the mole men alone bought 1,000,000 360s (nothing else) and Big foot bought 300,000 360s.

Anyone else realize that if those software numbers are correct (and if my math stays true. :P ) COD4 for the 360 has sold nearly 3 million copies to date and Assasins Creed has sold nearly 2 million.. While the PS3 versions are nowhere in sight...

Yea I'm sure these 3rd parties are tripping over themselves to keep certain games PS3 exclusives... *looks in Konami's direction*

according to teamxbox the PS3 ghas a hell of a way to go to catch the 360

and i think... not really sure but i THINK... i read somewhere that sony does not pay for third party exclusives...

i love konami/square games but their lack of 360 support is annoying sometimes.

The thing that makes me happy is that Revenant Wings old over 100k in its second month. This means that it'll probably pass a million worldwide and it's FANTASTIC news for the tons of RPGs coming to the DS next year.
