That is overstating it. That is a 200,000 console drop from the month before and heading back towards their average of 200,000 to 250,000 a month they've sold practically every month since launch.

They are still useful for keeping track of things... but are really bad when trying to make predictions. They usually adjust their guesses later to match the NPD numbers more closely. I dont know if they adjust software though...
