sony IMO i didnt see MAG, DC online/SOE developing plenty of games or the movie download service coming and i might not be right but have they just shown the most new IPs?, FF13 i happily predicted before E3 and nintendo was just boring and showed hardly any games

overall i found it very disappointing hardly any new games no new ZOE/KH3/onimusha the game sthat i really wanted to see

that said for me LBP is fighting tooth and nail with spore for best game shown so far, with RE5 not far behind

I mean what did Sony have show? GoW3 teaser=yawn. God what else was there seriously. Oh yes MAG? 256 Players 1 world. Wow big deal. Give me some variety sony. PS3 is more the shooter console than anything.

Up until this point I haven't considered selling my Wii, but now if I don't hear some good stuff I'm putting it up on e-bay during Christmas.

Microsoft brought refinement and teh megaton, Sony brought refinement and some new additions thus validating owning them. Nintendo just gave the middle finger to every single person who supported them through the N64/Gamecube drama.

It can't, FF13 is still exclusive in Japan (which will pull the sales at least 2-3 million aboves 360 FF13),half of the ff13 package is still exclusive to the PS3 so most FF fans would stay PS3. GTA4 didn't push nearly any consoles, while MGS4 did. Do you think people are gonna rush out for 360s at FF13 release? Or do you think they'll get a PS3 so they can play Versus as well? Be realistic.

Given sales of recent JRPGs for the 360 I'd say FF13 will sell around 2 million which is great for SE and the 360 owners that want to try the franchise out. Big news for SE profit wise.

Their was lots of new stuff shown in in the PSN section that may have been overlooked. Ragdoll Kungfu, Flower, Pixel Junk Eden, the new R&C, and a few others.

Sony managed to show a lot of new things such as God of War 2, DC Universe, the Agency, InFamous and MAG; all of which were quite interesting, especially MAG.

However, the conference just went on forever and was incredibly boring.

Although I did lol a bit when the guy said that LBP would get your 'creative juices' flowing. It must be one hell of a great game for that to happen.

I just got irritated by the amount of time Sony spent talking about the PS2 and PSP. A couple of things were slightly interesting, but generally, I couldn't give a care about that stuff. Especially when they would say how successful their consoles are and how they are 'in front, driving the industry forward.'

Although i did like it a lot when they used LBP to show some graphs and statistics. That made it far more intising to watch and showed off the capabilities of the game.

Microsoft generally managed to keep my interest throughout because they would actually show some gameplay and gave some very intersting information considering the Fall update. They didn't speak too much about sales figures and general bragging, which left more time to show off Gears 2, Fallout 3, Resident Evil 5, Banjo Kazooie Nuts and Bolts.

The ending was basically epic and near overwhelming in how cleverly they tricked us by sending the square president off, only for him to come back and give one hell of a bang at the end.

Nintendo did manage to keep me interested throughout, mainly due to Reggie being a 'cool dude'. Wii music did interest me, as did the potential of Wii Motion Plus. However by the end I felt somewhat betrayed that they did not have any big titles to announce for the more hardcore fans.

Where was Zelda? Where was Disaster Day of Crisis? Project H.A.M.M.E.R.? There was nothing really for the hardcore. except perhaps for Animal Crossing, however I don't personally enjoy it.

Microsoft did steal the show as a whole. But I commend Sony for giving some genuinely interesting things. Nintendo however....I'm not sure what to say.

I also thought the idea of using the balance board as foot pedals for a virtual drumkit is rather inspired too, dunno how that'll work out though.

I would rather learn things about games (like Fable online co-op) that I am going to be playing in the next couple of months then seeing a CGI video of games that are not coming out until 2009.

Sony was lackluster this year. Let me guess you were one of those people hyping LBP, Killzone 2 and PS Home last year right? How are you enjoying those games?

America and Europe combined, yes i hope they manage to sell more than Japan. FF sells more in America than in Japan, that's why SE did this, but the sales in Japan will still be over 2 million on the PS3 side, how can you deny that?

How does that throw my point out the window? By your logic, FF fans will buy 360s up like candy for FF13 because FF13 versus isn't out yet (in which they will then have to buy a PS3...). So again, don't you think it's more logical for an FF fan to purchase a PS3 to get the whole package?

Netflix on XBl is awesome.

And FF on the Xbox. Yes, MS had the best showing this year.

O and how can I forget a new Uno :P

quite liked the new setup of the menu

interested in the "primetime" channel i like the idea of playing "100v1" and other game shows with other users

avatars even been done i like how all the people onlines avatars are shown on friendlist

the footage of Gears 2 looked godly

and more thought was good showing for ms

We want a real headset like PSN and XBL have.

So, when you're playing Mario Kart with a guest/Mario Strikers with a guest, you can take it in turns who has the headset? Ninty's online tends towards having multiple players on each Wii, so a separate microphone makes more sense IMO. Besides, I'm a parent I don't have to worry about what my parents think :P

The one that had the most cool games...and microsoft had the most for xblA and regular coming games and the most features for their network----> PLUS FinalFantasyXIII

So Sony does basically the same thing as microsoft did last year in showing games we already knew about (w/ the exception of the CGI GOW3)--the same sort of thing MS was blasted for (or at least the resounding response was tepid at best...) last year, and sony this year comes up on top?

Now MS's conference wasn't AMAZING, but its pretty shocking how easily people here (or at least a notable portion) forget the significance of a true Final Fantasy installment going multiplat. Its pretty much been the bacon and eggs of the Playstation brand since PSX (but yes, PS still has plenty of exclusive mainstream titles). I personally can't wait to play it on my 360, and i wasn't about to shell out the extra mullah for a PS3 solely for that game. It is especially huge considering how vehemently the Cows would dismiss such rumors and speculation, and claim it couldn't be done on the 360, yadda yadda yadda...But now that it has been announced, after less than ONE day, it is processed, digested, the impact is (apparently) minimized, and some sort of collective "perspective" transcends upon Cows that it is just fine and dandy the very game they had been touting as a major exclusive for like what- 4 years...? is now no longer solely a PS3 marquee game...? "Well, we still get to play it.... its okay w/ me..." Lets at least pause and reflect on the announcement a little- at least acknowledge it is pretty cool for Lemmings, and at best, at least a little bitter for Cows...

You see this sort of thought process all the time on here. A highly touted game comes out, people cry and moan about it either being overrated or underrated, two or three days go by and its existence is nearly forgotten. Its impact is minimized and the collective thought process returns to "what do you got for me next?" "Whats coming out later for my such and such a system?" Games that have been hyped for 4 years finally release with rabid anticipation, it comes out, and its like it barely leaves any sort of residual effect on people at all. Is the future the ONLY factor of importance here? If i was a developer i would be fed up with a majority of you people-- i wouldn't care in the slightest what you guys thought because cynicism and a general lack of appreciation is the underlying theme of almost every thread in here...

I know this is system wars, and fair is fair, but come on! Lets enjoy THE MOMENT a little bit. Life isn't all bad....

Well here we are in 2008 and once again MS has the better holiday line up and once again people are saying Sony has them beat for next year.

It looks like the 360 will be getting group chat and the dashboard party system before Home ever comes out.

We dont know about release dates for home or 360 chat. Also i'd rather have two dollars tomorrow than one dollar today. Avatars is cool, but i agree with that quote from henry ford. Something about if the people got what they wanted, they would have gotten a faster horse. MS got a faster horse and Sony introduced us to an automobile.

As...last time I checked, this E3 Sony showed MAG, Infamous, GOW3, R&C sequel, DC universe, and tons of new arcade and psp games...

The only reason MS ISNT being bombed is because of the groundbreaking thrill at the end, besides that we saw almost nothing in terms of new games to be excited for, just good gameplay footage from existing ones.

In everything else besides games, MS and Sony were pretty much equal, but in games, Sony won IMO.

Sony talked about games, games and PSN.

Those are very big when it comes to E3. GoW3 is gonna be badass. Can't wait for Top gear episodes on GT5TV, videos for rent and purchase.

And a $400 80 GB ps3. Wow so much for that 300 pro xbox...thats being phased out....
