He does have a point though. It's a game. What matters is that we don't know anything and that non of us have played it. It may be fun. So it's best to see what happens. And the MGS thing did happen.

And a huge part of the fun in DMC was to see how over the top Dante was, he was ridiculous, hilarious, he was the perfect hero for that kind of game, now he...looks like an emo, i mean, don't even...

This is what happens when America becomes the most important market in the video game industry, westernization... Japanese devs think that to sell in the west they need their games to feel more western while at the same time, they are killing their own market.

As long sa the new Dante does'nt intend to fill anyone's dark soul with light, it's an improvement.

Hipster Dante would be holding a PBR, stroking his Grizzly Adams beard while brushing the vegan muffin crumbs off of his ironic thrift store tshirt that says 'Super Dad'. The soundtrack would be crap bands that only 10 people have heard of, and the DLC would consist of various trucker caps.

And Hipster Dante would NEVER be caught dead in a current gen game, only in some retro 8 bit side scroller.

I'm sorry but the first DMC was still the better DMC game in the series (voice acting was pretty bad in some parts, but overall gameplay was an innovation for it's time). There is no chance in hell that this game will top DMC(2001), which had the help from the person who also developed bayonetta this gen.

I'm not looking forward for this though. I already have a hunch how it will play out. It can have good gameplay, but the character model is so horrible to look at. The character model look just as bad as Enslaved's character models. I would honestly prefer if they just made Dante a female character, because their only somewhat appealing characters are female. Dante just looks horrible, especially when you consider that this is supposed to take place before DMC3.

As a DMC fan I agree. But it definitely wasn't the only reason to play the series.

But....ridiculous and over the top charactersare one of the few things that Ninja Theory is really good at. Just play Heavenly Sword or read some of the dialogue of Enslaved. 8) There's not much evidence that this new DMC will be lacking that.
