Is there a good reason for this? My ps3 sixaxis in-built battery pack lasted since launch. Both controllers. That's 6 years already
For my 360 however, I had to buy rechargeable batteries and a charger. And AA rechargeable batteries have a lifespan of about only 1 year (sometimes less). Then it gets flat every 2 days. Then I resorted to buying non-rechargeable AA batteries because they don't suddenly get flat. And buying batteries over the course of so many years does indeed cost money.
It's 2013 and MS is still using this archaic method? And no, that bullshit excuse about having to replace the whole controller when an in-built battery pack fails, is no longer a valid argument. We have a precedent case, and that argument was MS's rubbish excuse. In-built battery packs lasts longer than the controller itself.
