I platinumed KZ2 for fun, so clearly there are people who thought the SP was very good. Considering KZ2 has some of the best enemy A.I., I'm conserned as to why people find it "generic". 1st-person cover system + constant action + amazing graphics/AI = good SP, imo.

I never platinumed KZ2 but I did put in like 20 hours into the SP ... I thought it was entertaining, and I'm one that HATES SP FPS Campaigns.

i wish they could show some more levels. i'm getting sick this snow map, it looks great but i've seen it like 1 billion times.

Yeah its going to be some form of a weird set up, though how the crapper works as a marketing prop for Killzone 3 is beyond me. I think its pretty interesting that no one said anything about it. Apparently in system wars it does not matter if a guy is cleaning out the leftovers while demoing a game, as long as he demos that game...

KZ3 continues to impress me. Funny how it was completely overshadowed at E3 but it seems it's got a few bragging rights of it's own.

I liked how the commentator goes "Well, I'm normally not a 3D fan but in KZ3.. Well, it was really good" and you can tell he's impressed.

There are so many good looking (not just talking about graphics!) shooters coming out :), so it's easy for some titles to get overshadowed. But during E3, Gamespot took notice and was thoroughly impressed by Killzone Trey. They gave it best PS3 game and best shooter of the show! There really is something for everyone out there.

Indeed :D In fact, there are too many games coming out which is a rare and joyous occasion. Wallets shall be empty and accounts shall leak funds!

The video being linked is just taking too long to load. Not sure why. But anyways, from the bits that I've seen--anybody that doesn't think this game is one INCREDIBLE looking console title is just blind. Whether or not you like the game personally is up to you, however, it looks like a well-made quality title. I'm a halo junkie, but this game makes me wonder if something new is on the horizon.

I seriously cannot fathom the visual of a lemming playing this game on an HDTV (or hell, a 3DTV).....and remaining a lemming afterwards. I simply cannot picture it happening. The controls were diffrent in killzone 2, not bad.

And I loved Killzone 2, so this looks awesome to me :)

Halo Reach HAS WAY MORE features than this game..like cmon Killzone 3 will probably be a good game but stop comparing it to Halo..Jamani

i am going to get flamed for this, but the combat looked so generic and boring, just like every game that is coming out. they have no imagination at all when it comes to combat. the only reason people are going to buy this is because of the graphics. if you dont believe that then you are fooling yourself.

edit: also maybe because this was filmed with a shakey cam, but the textures looked really bad imo

If you don't think that flying through the air on a hover pad and blasting away buildings is action packed, then I don't know what to say. Perhaps controlling enormous mechs in online mode against real people might be action packed enough for you? RPG elements have NOTHING to do with the combat and this isn't an RPG game so no. Also, I have no idea how can ignore the fact that the AI in KZ2 was insanely smart! It was probably the best AI on consoles, you obviously haven't played KZ2. If you come out of cover for even a moment they punish you and they are always moving around trying to flank you etc.

The game is also pretty tactical already since it encourages the use of a cover system to break up gunfights and stop you from just running in all guns blasting. These are all moot points.

Honestly, from what we've seen, and from what GG has claimed to fix, I wouldn't expect anything lower than a 9.5 from Gamespot. If KZ2 got a 9 for being as awesome as it is, and KZ3 improves/adds so much more to the previous instalment, I see no reason for anything lower than a 9.5.
