OK, nintendo sure innovates with controllers, but have they ever been ergonomic?

[QUOTE="mariokart64fan"]

excuse me the snes controller is the best one out, besides ps and gc ,

and wii is ok

nes was the only one i can say was un confortable and vb was a flop so dont mention it

besides

if you say the snes controller is awful then your saying the ps1 /2 controllers are to because all they did with t hose was added grips and 2 analog and 2 extra shoulder buttons the original ps1 controler before 98was actually based on the snes gamepad if you look at it you can see it is exactly the same as snes with handles added

lightleggy

uhm...I dont see what your point is...yeah, it might be the same but with handles...but the thing is: those handles change everything

Actually I still find the SNES controller more comfortable to hold in it's default position than even the original PS controller, although that's pretty good itself, and most certainly the PS3 controller (which really isn't that comfortable imo, trying to use those analogue sticks at the same time as the dual triggers for example).

Now, the handles on the Gamecube controller...They actually made things more comfortable.

N64 controller

even more goofy looking than all of the above, terrible placement, why the hell do you want 3 handles? and you couldnt even use d pad+ analog...you had to choose between one of the 2.

and lets be honest: perfect dark and goldeneye were great games, but playing FPS in an N64 was hard as hell.

not to mention that N64 controllers would usually break after 2 months of use...rendering the analog useless or at least screwing it up so badly your fingers would get calluses from moving it.

Acutally, the N64 controller is the one to never break on me. I had a N64 for 3 years, not once did i have to buy a new one because of one breaking. On the other hand, I have had multiple GC, Xbox, and X360 controllers break on me. I haven't had a DS break on me but that's because I have only had my PS3 for one year, and I haven't used it as much compared to the other controllers.

I've never thought Nintendo controllers were great but they're always interesting.

I had 8 N64 controllers...and not simultaneously...2 were the biggest number I had at the same time...they would break so often...and no I was not the kind of kid who throwed his controllers to an incinerator and then used them again...I took care of my stuff
